I fully agree with Faizan .

Ive also noticed a lot of ppl with 1 or 2 posts are popping up making very strong comments, but we dont know their actual names or which teams they are from. I think it should be a requirement to say who you are and which team you are from.

I brought up this issue with a thread a while back with the subject of Anonymity. People have various reasons to go anonymous whether its because they do not want their opinions to be seen as representative of the opinion of their teams or whether they want to be honest without the whiplash of standing behind an honest opinion. You may be less likely to be honest when you know people on other teams.

Yeah, hateful, unconstructive flaming posts are problems, but I also see problems in overly-sugared-up fake ass posts. Be real, but be constructive.

And where would the fun be when "anonymous" users get found out when self-pumping their own teams?

Personally, I see it this way. People could have plenty of reasons to go anonymous-and frankly it's really none of our business. We shouldn't force someone to be "unanonymous" for any reason. There are plenty of people on this site who are also anonymous, but offer constructive criticism and are just overall great people to talk to.

However, if an unanonymous person comes onto this site and does nothing but bash and post strong statements for or against any team, why are we all taking them seriously? Personally, I don't believe they have much backing. "I was there, I saw it" doesn't have any backing, and 9 times out of 10 these people are full of bologna (is that non-halal?).

Two words: ignore them. Those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter.

I think Saleem has done a great job in keeping BTF distinctly different from POL there are certain topics that will always be argued over. We're desi-we like drama so the repeat drama-filled topics will continue as long as this forum or any forum will exist!
