Quick note to Jabar (or whoever else is posting the challenge threads): Could you PLEASE at least name the original track properly or at least provide the artist & song name for those people that want to keep the original song after they download it?

My vote: Track 1

I wasn't that impressed with either mixes to be honest, but I absolutely hated the intro/outro of Track 1. It made no sense to me (didn't flow with the rest of the song) and that threw me off completely. The concept was nice and if you take out the intro/outro, it's a better mix overall imho.

Track 2 sounded a little more "plain" and I hated the constant/repetitive use of the typical dhol loops/sound effects. It was very much like the original track and didn't bring anything creative to the table. Also, why wasn't there a proper outro? The mix just cuts off. This mix seems more thrown together quickly than the other track.

Keep it up!

lol original is pretty sick itself, i got love for any punjabi song that uses any sort of guitar track no matter how generic.

Track 1 has the most original intro and ending ive heard so far lol love it. someone post the song used for the intro i wanna hear the rest of it. Dont like the random barking dogs, first time im hearing that effect and already sounds lame. whats with the slight sound on the left channel at 0:41 and 0:51, it repeats regularly a couple of times sounds like a slight scratching effect. so ive played the track a couple of times and ya that slight sound seems like some sort of artifact from the mixing or output process, kinda tough to hear unless u listen really closely.

I love the vibe of track 2. the thing that bothers me about this track is the leveling on the vocals, they sound flattened, this also applies to the rest of the track it doesnt sound as sharp as it should be. if the leveling was corrected it would make the song sound soooo much better. love the build up at the beginning and at the end.

my vote is for track 1, because of the originality and the cleaner/fuller sound. best contest so far, pretty close call.

can you guys post the original song names please?
and in my opinion, #1 wins. it's intro was really weird and didn't fit, but the rest of it was explosive and dynamic. more fun to listen to. also, like GSingh said--it had more professional soundstaging. the hoy's and stuff in the middle came from different siden and that was sick.
if all of #2 was like the ending bit of it, it would have totally won. too much buildup.

Both tracks have their strengths and weaknesses.

The pros for Track 2 is that it doesn't overdo the mixing and still keeps it relatively simple.
However, Track 1 is more pleasing when listening to with headphones and def hits harder (not taking how it would be on stage into account)

For this challenge: Track 1

Track 1 is better

track 1 - the music..the instrumental that was used..it doesn't go to well in my opinion. It just doesn't fit... i think you could have made a better choice as far as that. and idk what was up with the intro or the ending but wasn't needed

track 2- seemed too simple....just seemed like subtle dhol beats/rolls..and the chak de that you used towards the beginning....it seems like a half way between just using the original chak de effect and the stutter/shutter/epilepsy effect (i apologize if that offends anyone...i have a friend who is epileptic so its not intended with any malice..dont know how else to describe it). The effect sounded bad

Track one sounded more professional.

Track two sounded very flat in terms of sound stage, The vocals were placed in a really awkward place and the beat was kinda forced on as well.

(listen with really good headphones you'll know what I mean compared to track one.)
Totally Agree

Track one. I cant hear the vocals well on track 2.
