A: didn't like it that much especially in the beginning, but it got a lot better;
especially after the 47 seconds mark...and ending with Bindrakhiya is just cheating lol (good job on that)
B: the ludacris part didn't really mesh that well, imo. Overall, I think you could've done a lot more with the mix.

*A gets my vote

both of these tracks weren't very good at all. the first one was more upbeat and had a better theoretical direction, but it was just too crappy quality for me to vote it. i dunno if it was a bitrate problem, or a compression problem, or whatever, but that mixer really needs to not do that in the future. it really impacts the appeal.
so i default to mix B. even though it excessively repeated lyrics and wasn't all too different from the original song.

Track A- The mix sounded good, only if you started the same way you ended it.

Track B- Depending on the mood of the song, it should not sound calm. It should be banging and the mix sounded pretty calm.

Vote- Track A

I Vote for Track A! Started off very smooth and came out hard with 3-4 different tunes leading up to the lyrics (go hard, paper planes, various flute tunes). i liked the little interlude of "3, 2, 1...GO" and the beeping tune thing in the back. I think in little battles like this where you only have 1 minute to show your stuff, its important to do stuff like that to add hype and make your track more memorable. Tera yaar bolda did feel kinda thrown in there though.

Track B - A bit of an odd choice for the opening tune, that reggae sounding synth i mean. "My chick bad" didnt flow that nicely for me. I didnt like the stutter around 28sec, it ended a little too soon and the loud hiss/whoosh sound sounded a little harsh. The mixing after 46sec was nice though! Good use of Ajj nachna! and i like that 58sec onward you let the tune speak for itself, gives some closure to the track and makes it sound like a coherent song.

My Vote: Track A. keep it up both of you!!

track A - more going on but quality was bad. Started off weak but picked up towards the middle

track B - didn't do as much with the song. wasn't too much of a fan of my chick bad

I vote for track A

My vote: Track A

Props to GSingh for actually specifying the original artist name & song name.. for those us that want to keep the mp3 after we download it.

First of all, I like choice of the song that was given. Arjun gave a pretty good review that I tend to agree with, but I'll throw in my two cents as well..

Track A - What happened to the quality of the mix? Make the size of your mix bigger, but deliver some QUALITY. I had to turn up my speakers just to hear your mix after listening to the original song. I am guessing this was a bitrate problem. The intro was creative with "Paper Planes" + the flutes mixed in. I felt the "So Hard" song didn't flow to well when mixed in. At roughly the 45 second mark, I really liked the dhad + piano keys transition into the "3-2-1" clip and even the outro after that. That really enchanced the mix and made the verses hit even harder. I wasn't feeling Tere Yaar Bolda mixed in at the end.. I felt like you could have choose a better song to end the mix.

Track B - Couldn't really tell what was going on in the intro.. there was a heartbeat sound and then it sounded like someone dropped a dress shirt's button on a desk. lol. I liked the intro with the dhad mixed in. I wasn't really feeling the "my chick bad" rap song mixed in (especially the 2nd time it was used after the 30 second mark). I liked the ending of the mix with the girl's voice doing the whole "perrrrrrraahh" type of sound. It didn't sound like much was done to the mix besides what was stated here. Nothing really "poped" out as me or surprised me.

Keep it up!

Track A is bad quality with random stuff, randomly mixed in.

Track B is just as random, but the first half had some quality mixing.

I vote Track B

it's not a bitrate problem for Track A (it's in 320kbps) The track is not EQd/Mastered well
1) They clearly used a hard limiter (the track never redlines even on the hard bass). But didn't do EQ so the sound distorts heavily
2) They overrused effects and lost the dynamic sound of the original (i.e. is sounds flat, almost like off of radio or something)

Both tracks have a bunch of issues that everyone seems to have covered so I won't repeat. I think Track A had better vision for the mix than Track B which just laid out different beats and failed at the stutter (though I was a fan of the synth in the beginning unlike others).

Track A, but barely

Improvements:
Track A- EQ EQ EQ
Track B- Cool ideas, but no vision. stutter should go for a full measure, you cut it short by 2 stutters. Do more than just post different beats, overlay them and build the chorus up. As Jabar said, don't be calm

EDIT: OK PEOPLE, SERIOUSLY THIS IS PISSING ME OFF. IF YOU'RE GOING TO DOWNLOAD THE MIXES, AT LEAST BE COURTEOUS ENOUGH TO DROP A FEW CENTS SO THE MIXERS THEMSELVES CAN IMPROVE IN THE FUTURE. IF YOU DON'T LEAVE ANY FEEDBACK OR EVEN VOTE, THEN THE QUALITY OF MIXES WILL NOT RISE. IT IS ALL UP TO THE PUBLIC. LOW EXPECTATIONS WITH LITTLE TO NO FEEDBACK = LOW QUALITY PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!ELEVEN!!!1!!! ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Track A, though I think both tracks could have been developed a bit more. A was def lacking in production quality, B just didn't feel like a mix to me

Both werent great. Either the track quality was shit, or the volume levels were completely off.

the majority of people probably can't tell the difference between a good mix and bad mix and most likely download this stuff and delete it straight away, the ones that do leave comments are the ones who at least have some interest and therefore something useful to share with the mixers. No point getting mad about it man, some people just have nothing to say...some may say even saying something like it was great helps but it doesn't perform any useful function or provide any feedback that can be used in future mixes so it's probably better if they do stay silent.

ps I haven't downloaded or listened to any of these mixes in this ladder because i still find it ridiculous that the poll function isn't being used lol :)
