I vote Track A

There was no creativity in track b and the loop from luda was distorted. I agree with Swi, EQ big time. Sounded like treble was low in track A and needed that clarity instead of hitting with just bass.

i still find it ridiculous that the poll function isn't being used lol :)
not being used because to prevent those with less than 75 btf posts from voting. with a poll its impossible to tell who votes and some dj could just get their friends to vote for them. without a poll you can see who votes, and if they qualify.

I dont have enough posts to vote but i'm gonna go with track A. If it was eq'd better like swi said it wouldve sounded way better. i think the you be killin em beat couldve sounded a lot better if it was mastered correctly

Gursimran, I'm also responsible for pushing the downloads past the votes because for some reason, i have not been able to download a single one of the mixes. They keep getting interrupted. And ive tried like 5 times per mix per thread... soooooo.... :X. lol.

But fez is right, this is already way way way better than i expected. If youre getting at least 15-20 votes per matchup i think its going well lol.

I just don't want the hype to die in this comp. The first few threads were bumpin and I know there's going to be variations but you get my concern. :p

Vote: Track A

I felt Track A at least had some sort of binding theme behind it. Track B on the other hand lacked focus.

to be fair, whether right or wrong, when 90% of the comments say 'both were not very good but...' I really doubt casual observers will care to dl/comment

there are only a handful of people confident enough to give feedback as is (and most of them have)

it was also theoretically intended to increase listener feedback... oh well
on a side note, are people who do not have accounts on this forum allowed to download things? that could be causing so many downloads without comments.
there's no real reason an outside person would download one of these challenge mixes, but for people who just trawl the media center, songs labeled "track A" etc. dont necessarily seem like mix snippets.

Nope, unless you have an registered/approved BTF account, you can't download anything from the site.

I agree with Neet (2nyce), that not having a poll is better because it would serve no real purpose, since your vote isn't counted unless you have at least 75 posts.

I bet there are a lot of people who are downloading the mixes, who don't have 75 posts, hence aren't leaving feedback. Or possibly people just want to listen to the track that the majority is commenting about/picking as a "winner."

I'm sure you would see a more even distribution in downloads if all comments/votes were "hidden" somehow.

this system is fine, for now. when it gets down to the final 8, make voting stricter and more reliable (because that's when gerrymandering will begin for real for real)...

close but goin with Track B against popular opinion. track A for me had some good ideas technically but was executed poorly (mainly cuz of the eq and quality)...and that stutter in B absolutely needs 2 more measures as swi pointed out.

and yea ive been having the same problem as Kush and others with the dl's, they get interrupted mid-download and it takes a few tries to finally get it to work

@ BTF TEAM: CAN SOMEONE FIX THIS CAUSE ITS ANNOYING
It also could be inflating the number of "downloads"? (i.e. it took me 3x)

I pick track B for its originality and consistency.
