I know this is super late, but just wanted to give a quick review about Srujan weekend.
BU Bhangra had an amazing time at Srujan! Definitely one of the better competitions we’ve been to. We’d like to thank the Buckeye committee for running such a smooth competition! We were especially impressed with all of the resources provided at the hotel and thoughtful gifts for all the teams - it was extremely helpful to have all the food, pins, and extra materials available to us amidst the crazy schedule of the weekend. (Something that other competitions should definitely try to incorporate.) The whole committee definitely caters to the teams’ needs and helps out in whatever way possible to make sure the teams are having a stress-free weekend.
Some shoutouts-
· Nisha – You did an incredible job in organizing and running the show! It was a hectic weekend with the weather and other complications but you never lost patience and ended up cordinating an amazing competition!
· Simran – Thanks for letting us borrow your car to drive to Cleveland after the mixer on Friday to go pick up our stranded dancers! Even though you weren’t our liaison, we know you went above and beyond to help us out and make sure we had a great time!
· Sheetal, Sundeepti, Payal – Thanks for running around and making sure the team had everything they needed for the performance and otherwise. You guys were truly a big help and terrific liaisons!
· Ansh, Anahli, Nihar, Adeeti, Lovepreet and the rest of the committee- You guys are awesome! We definitely felt the great hospitality and loved spending the weekend with all of you!
Congrats to VCU! Always a good time hanging out with you guys and we really enjoyed watching you perform live!
Also huge shout-out to Neomed Bhangra who put on a sick performance for their first time competing! It was great meeting all of you! Thanks again for the switch in tech-time for the delayed dancers!
Buckeye Bhangra – It was great hanging out with you all as always! Even though it was just an exhibition, you guys put on a great performance! Hope to run into you guys in the future!
We are extremely proud and humbled for the 1st place! We will be releasing our video once we are done with our competitions for the semester!
