We didn't feel the need to feed into the gossip surrounding our show however we do feel that we owe the courtesy to the teams that are performing to know which teams have decided to withdraw from our competition.

One team has decided to withdraw -Heeray Punjab De due to their dholi breaking their arm however, Born 2 Bhangra was disqualified and was removed from the lineup. Heeray Punnjab De have been replaced with Bhangra Knightz.

Uhhhhh... I find these to be contradictory statements since you failed to give a reason/justify why B2B was disqualified.

Competitions cannot be perfect and just like there is always shady, unprofessional people on teams, there will be always shady, unprofessional people in competition committees. It's not to say that the entire competition is unprofessional, but few rotten applies spoil the whole bunch. And a few mistakes can ruin the entire competition for some teams.

I feel since we are bhangra teams forum, we are quick to take the sides of the teams (since we can relate so easily) when competitions come to this board. As we critique competitions, it may seem as if we are attacking them. I almost feel bad for them sometimes.

I would love to know by B2B got disqualified, but only B2B can say for sure.

So ummmm what was this thing that Bulldog was ranting about "changing the bhangra scene forever"? They pumped themselves up so much, and they've been unprofessional from the start. Not surprising. I don't think ive ever noticed such a lack of professionalism from competitions.

so this is what happened with b2b lol ...

1st off we applied way back and i didnt even complete the reg package and they accepted us into the comp lol (i didnt send the fee and any signed papers...i dont think half the teams from outta town have sent their stuff in yet...actually i know for a fact they havent haha) but yeah we couldnt make it to the comp cuz we didnt have enough dancers after idols..so i told sunny p from bhangra justice that we wouldnt be coming and i guess he told the bulldog ppl before i got a chnace so they left me such a jaloose voicemail, so unprofessional but i had already told them from the start we probably cant come cuz we wont have the dancers ...so yeah i guess they DQ'd us :s lol whatever though.

but the one thing i dont like is that ..why make it public right? when teams drop outta comps the committee doesnt come post the reason someone cant make it there, oh well shit happens..best of luck with the compitition!

As a committee we debated on whether we should state the reason for our actions and we feel that it is very important for organizers to also maintain a level of dignity and respect and also inform the Bhangra forum on issues that organizers face which are rarely ever made public due to responses that normally occur.

Yes, we as a board decided to disqualify Born 2 Bhangra from this competition and any other Bulldog Bhangra competitions here after. We did not state the reason in the previous message since informing the Bhangra forum community will only add fuel to the fire.
However, we feel that it is important to explain and justify our actions. This is the second year in a row that Born 2 Bhangra has decided to withdraw or not inform the Bulldog Bhangra committee of their intensions with our show. In regards to registration packet a full packet of information has been received by this team and all other teams however, we do often make accommodations for teams that do not submit their registration fee as they specifically state they cannot provide their registration fees. We as a committee do our very best to accommodate all teams and this was our way of accommodating teams.

Nearly two weeks before the show we were informed by other teams that Born 2 Bhangra has decided not to attend due to promises made to other teams. We as a committee left numerous messages for Born 2 Bhangra captain before making and decisions and even 2 days before the show we still haven?t gotten a call back - that shows a lack of professionalism on their behalf.

Most times teams are always given the benefit of the doubt and are always supported and rarely are Bhangra Competitions supported for making decisions that go against the popular trend. We feel that based on this teams behavior that have presented two years in a row we had no option but to disqualify them.

We respect each and every team that is selected and treat them with the upmost respect as they are guests of ours all we ask is for the same respect and etiquette.

We do not feel that we need to elaborate any further on this topic but it is important for the Bhangra community to know that actions such as this should not be tolerated and the level of sportsmanship needs to be raised. As every Bhangra team we have also spent night and day working hard to ensure that everyone enjoys a great weekend and we are confident that issues like this will not affect the show.

I couldn't take everyone saying bs toward a show or toward any show when they don't know what it takes to put one on. I never post any posts and this is my first time but I beleive someone needs to have the back of people that put shows together.

First of all, if the committee didn't say anything everyone would be pissed saying that this is "jallloooooose" because they aren't updating their teams. Now when they did say something everyone is saying why did they say it like this. Does the truth hurt some people? B2B, come on now, if you applied for a competition you should have had the team before applying for it. You should be ready to get accepted. Any team that is applying for a show should be ready to be accepted for the show. So, if you can't come from the start then why apply for it? Teams should send in papers if they are serious to perform at a show. It seems to me B2B wasn't serious to perform at this show. I think that is being more unprofessional then actually the committee. They are looking at all teams as a whole and they pick the best candidates they have. For a team to tell someone else and hearing from a second source they won't be performing is very unprofessional. If you are going to send in the application to compete in a show then you should be ready to perform. If you told them from the start you can't come then why even apply. Yes the committee is at fault too for accepting an unprofessional team from the start but it's not all their fault.

I have been going to Bulldog Bhangra for the last two years. This year I might not be able to go due to some earlier obligations. But, I will definitely try to make out because it is totally a well worth show. It will be hard because I am from the Bay and it takes a couple of hours to get out to Fresno. But, you can see the committee puts a lot of work to get this show out there and I believe this is one great competition. I give it up to the Bulldog Committee. Keep doing what you guys do.

For Meistro, you have been putting down shows left and right. I want you to put a show together and we'll see what you can do. Why perform at places when you are going to put them down. The only word you know is "jallloooosee." The only "jallloooseee" I see here is you. Put a show together and then we'll see what you can do. Don't go there and rag other shows when you don't know what goes on and how hard it is to put on a show at that level. That said, I do wish you good luck at Bulldog this year and I hope you don't make a "jallllooooseee" out of yourself.
