I got asked by this girl in my school if I could get 2 bhangra dancers from my year to dance at her Indian night and I realised that there is only me in my year that does Bhangra! So I asked one of my friends who hasn't ever danced for a team and has no experience of bhangra to dance with me. I have until March 7th to make a new routine with him, is it possible I could get him to learn the routine fast and get a good performance?
Thanks,
Pritpal.

If Suri did it in Om Shanti Om, anything is possible. :)

Bhangra is not that difficult, remember it is a folk dance done by farmers, not expert technicians or people who must train for years like ballet or bharatnatyam! To compete and win in bhangra, of course it takes years to be Good with a capital G, but otherwise it is a fun dance to be picked up fast and enjoyed by all.

People can learn simple, basic moves in a matter of hours. That is the universal appeal and joy of bhangra.

oh and good luck with that girl, haha, reminded me of Partner or Hitch hahaha. (I've got two weeks to train this newbie into becoming a superstar bhangra dancer so he can "woo the girl" etc etc)

Jabar's CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yea dude pritpals just a kid man, and the only people that are interested in bhangra are mostly in north america, which is overseas from where he resides. Im sure its a little hard when you're on a forum and you see all this stuff like competitions and events happening somewhere other than where you live and im sure he just feels like posting to stay involved somehow. chill it eh haha, haaley niana ah.
