Can't change tempo in acid

Hey guys, I've had this problem sometimes when I put an audio clip into acid and I try to change the bpm manually, it hits a minimum that doesn't even sound like the original tempo of the actual file. For example, have a track that is 90 bpm, upload it to Sony and it hella slows it down, and then wont let me speed it back up but will let me slow it down more. Any ideas?

not sure if you fixed this issue, but make sure your project temp is also set to 90. Project tempo can be located under all the tracks on the left slide, ti's the slider bar.

Also, if these are short clips, like effects, then it may be too short for acid to handle. Acid does bpm by setting beatmarkers on the file. If it's too short, there aren't enough beatmarkers for acid to use so it won't let you make the bpm smaller, ya dig? As far as I know, theres no way around it
