Hello BTF!
A little over 3 years ago, the co-founders of the 2013 Boiler Bhangra Competition orchestrated Purdue's first ever annual bhangra competition. Though the competition had successful succeeding years, this past year's 2016 attempt came with an unfortunate turn of events. Although the co-founders did not have a hand in organizing this year's competition, we have decided to take it upon ourselves to bring to you a bhangra competition held right here in the heart of Indiana. With our experience and alliance with IUPUI's SAYA, this will be a competition you will not want to miss!
We are now excited to announce the 1st annual CIRCLE CITY BHANGRA competition! We're calling to bring the best teams from around North America to compete on April 8, 2017 in Indianapolis. This is open to all bhangra teams.
Prize money will be awarded to 1st place at $1000 and 2nd place at $500. The prize money is subject to change as more sponsorships become available.
If you are interested in competing, please email us at circlecitybhangra@gmail.com. At the start of the school year, we will provide further details along with the application packets.
We are also looking for judges, so please do email us at the same address if you are interested.
Don't hesitate to contact us in the meantime if you have any other questions. We look forward to hearing from you!
