I wanted to give you all an update now that the voting has closed on the original topic. There was a slight advantage, but no clear two-thirds majority in the vote (final vote was 38 to abolish membergroups vs 28 to keep). In absence of a clear consensus, and with
Secondly, as I said previously, Off-Topic posts will no longer count towards the post totals. If there is any weight you would give to an opinion based on the user's time on bhangra community/BTF (that's a separate debate), then you'd agree that Off-Topic and its 7,200 posts bear no importance.
It seems people have gotten less concerned with post-counts/titles, which is a great thing. As stated in the rules, spamming the boards to increase post counts is prohibited and will be moderated, but please don't make us we're lazy

- more and more people busy with school-year and bhangra-year preparations and
- people not spending as much time in Off-Topic and also
- users are less concerned about their post-counts/titles,
