Hello everyone!
We'd like to share some news with all of you. Unfortunately, Cornell Bhangra will not be able to compete at Nachde Nashville this weekend. While driving to Nashville, one of our cars got into an accident with a truck due to heavy snowfall and low visibility. 2 of our team members were injured and the other 3 got various bruises. The police and EMS were called immediately and they were taken to the hospital. We're glad to say that all of them were taken care of well and they are fine now. None of them were in any state to perform on Saturday, and since the safety of our dancers always comes first, we had to withdraw from the competition. We're all safely back in Ithaca now.
Huge shout out to Sparsh, Tushita, Neha, Abhi and the rest of the Nachde Nashville committee, especially our liasons Justin, Avarna and Aster for supporting us throughout, understanding our situation, and putting the safety of our dancers before their show. They have been trying their best to still make us feel part of the competition, and we're extremely thankful to you guys. You all are amazing, and we wish we got to meet you guys this weekend. I'm sure you guys have an amazing weekend planned for the teams!
To all the teams competing this weekend, best of luck! I'm sure all of you are gonna have an amazing time, and we wish we could be part of it. All of us were very excited to come to Nashville, meet and hang out with all of you and have a great weekend together, and we're extremely sad we won't get to do that anymore. Rip it on that stage tomorrow! Our team will be watching the live stream and supporting all of you!
Hope we get to meet some of you later this season!
Love,
Spandan and Mahak
