Since this comp is in Cali it would be great to bring back more live comps in the state. There are a growing number of live teams in Cali and would really benefit if there were more live comps. Would be great if CSUN can make it happen again!!!

Finally, a bhangra competition in SoCal, other than Bruin. Hopefully, it's not high school venue or CSUN's(I've studied there from 08-10) own theater, it's quite small(stage/theater) to be honest and I'm not sure if there's a big enough theater on campus either.

Anyways, good luck guys and make sure this isn't a one year thing. SoCal needs more bhangra comps!

So it's been a while since CSUN has been around. I want to give you guys(CSUN committee) the benefit of the doubt that you'll be great. But with all the BSM stuff going on, I'd like to bring this up:

It was 4 years ago. I'd like for you guys to come on here, let us know who your judges will be, venue, that you'll make sure you guys take care of teams etc.

Again it's been 4 years. New teams, new committee, new everything. Just come out and be transparent and you'll get everyone to apply because there aren't very many competitions at the moment.

That link brought back memories. lol . . . I can't say who should've placed but USC didn't deserve to be first and let's leave it to that.

Csun, hopefully you guys can outperform old/new Cali comps. No high school venue, ok? lol . . . Btw, that last Csun comp was packed, props to that.

Ps. Team that placed 2nd was a better team that night, not even bs'ing and well known teams ended up making costly mistakes, rest is history.

Please stay on topic Yankee paaji. It's fine to reference what happened over 4 years ago, but let's not rehash old topics/issues. I say that with respect & courtesy, only because the last thing we need is everyone talking about the old CSUN placings again.

Only what is in bold in relevant to this topic. Btw, I PM'ed the committee for some clarifications on the topic. I hope they can address some of your questions/concerns.

And, last one wasn't bad at all, it's just folks weren't happy with the results and comp was held at a high school, where all the teams were given just one room(classroom) to change. So hopefully, it's different this time. Once again Gluck with everything.

Hi guys!
I actually had no idea that there was so much negativity against my school and our bhangra competition but thanks for bringing up all of the previous issues.
This in fact, is a pre-competition in which we are only showcasing 4 teams. The PropheC will be performing for the most part.
Our judges are Danny Singh, Archana Sethi, and Guppi Singh.


I do apologize on behalf of the previous board members but that was four years ago.
We are a completely new committee that had to create this competition without any other prior knowledge or help from any of our previous board members.
The board members for this year are Aanchal, Amanpreet, Devyani, Gary, Ismail, and Sandeep.


We are using the Northridge Center Complex for our pre-competition. The competition in March will be at a much larger scale and we are definitely going to have a live and music category.


We are starting with a small competition due to the fact that the competition was so long ago.
We are a new committee that is working our hardest to bring another bhangra competition to SoCal.
With that said, I would love to have all of you come out to our competition.
