Honestly, this was my first competition that I have competed at and I really don't feel like it was a real competition.

Venue: It was a high school theater seemed like 2/3 full. Place was kind of ghetto though.

Organizers: Well our tech time was supposed to start at 1 PM and we sort of got their at like 12:40 ish so we were about 20 minutes early more or less but we got our tech time at 3 so two hours later than we were told. We were given one box of pizza for the team and waterbottles kept on disappearing. The organizers were pretty nice I guess.

Actual Competition: Well I only saw the last two teams (LAPD, USC) and I can post a review on them later!

Oh ya our lighting was HORRIBLE! I saw the video afterward and basically, the stage was dark for the second half of the routine! :(

Judges: Judges were just wack. I'm not mad that we didn't place but mad because the judges left right away and they didn't want to answer anyone's questions but when they did answer questions, they gave the same answer saying that lighting was bad, outfits were this and that, and that mix was the same the whole routine.

Anyways, I had fun on stage and meeting some people, but really if CSUN wants to continue, they've really got to step up their game! Finally, Congrats to all of the teams that placed! :) I tried to make the review as unbiased as possible sorry if I offended anyone! :)

I wanna hear some reviews! I didn't get to see any performances other than regiments, all I gotta say is damn, improved so much. New fits are hot.
As for the competition, I agree with Vaibhav...the venue was really disappointing. It was a downgrade from last year's venue, and unfortunately it was barely filled.
We ended up running super late because of traffic(the 101 is a...). We were supposed to have tech time at 2, and it ended up being at 3:45ish I believe.
Dressing rooms...I guess we had bad luck. Teams shared classrooms as dressing rooms(they were pretty big). But there weren't enough dressing rooms to accommodate every team. Basically teams got dressing rooms assigned by whichever slot they were in the lineup. So teams 1,2 and 3 were in one room, and teams 4,5, and 6 were in another. Our team and team 8, USC, had to get ready in a tent outside the venue. That tent was smaller than my dorm room...which is already small. That was a bit disappointing, but we worked it out. Other teams offered to let some of us get ready in their rooms, so it was cool :)
Something that was actually unique about the competition was a dance off that was held after all the teams performed. Teams were matched up in a 1vs1 setup. I believe the matchups were:
1. LAPD vs Lethal Vibe
2. BMW vs Regiment
3. USC vs UCLA
4. VPD vs Cal
The winner of the dance off was Cal Bhangra.
The outcome of the show was surprising, but what kinda sucked was that the judges left super early. By the time everyone was out of the "what just happened" phase, the judges had already left so nobody really could find out why exactly the outcome happened the way it did. Hopefully videos will be up soon and we'll be able to see!
Big ups to the winners though! Congrats USC UCLA and Cal(UC Berkeley?)!

To be honest with you, this was one of the worst comps i been too...
The venue was in a High school, the commitee wasnt really doing anything and the judges must NOT know what they were doing!

shout out to Bhangra Knights, BMW and BABC though
