lovedddd the bruin set! definitely one of the most entertaining performances i've seen, and the dancing quality/energy was raw and super consistent across all the dancers. i wish could have seen this live - heard such great things from people in the audience after the show. congratulations on the well-deserved first place :) can't wait to see what you guys do this year!

This performance really set a bar for this year. In terms of entertainment it was very fun to watch from the beginning all the way to the end. Energy was consistent throughout and the gimmicks definitely hit. There were mistakes here and there, but no set is ever perfect these days. I like how you all have very consistent form. Y'all went up against the best music lineup of the year and won. It's hard year by year for college teams to continue being dominant with people graduating and etc. I hope to see DRP continue to place and congratulations to Angela and DRP once again.

Meha and Howie-- thank you two for the kind words! Cal and MBT were fire this year, and I'm stoked to dance with you all next season! (Why can't off season be over yet...)

Mariam, that means the world to us. Thanks for your helpful feedback during the Bruin judges meeting!

Still interested in hearing constructive feedback; please feel free to share. :)

Congrats again DRP on the first at Bruin! Major props to Harji and Luv for creating an amazing set and pushing the team to such an elite level. Watching the Bruin set live was just something else! The energy, the crowd, the production value was all spot on. Sure there were a few small mess-ups in that set, but it didn't really matter much. You guys performed very, very well and had everyone at orpheum on their feet for the full 8 minutes.

Your guys' strength, I felt, was seamlessly incorporating and packaging your x-factors/gimmicks with the actual set. Nothing felt cheesy or underwhelming at any point. I also loved that the formations weren't stagnant, and nearly every box/color/jodi got their time to shine in the front. Good call on switching up the jodi/box colors for bruin. Definitely made the performance feel a bit more refreshing!

Overall, every x-factor hit, energy was high, and styles were in sync. Well deserved 1st, DRP, and 'grats on the successful season :)

Watching the Bruin set live was pretty unreal---you guys came out with so much energy it was insane. I kept waiting for a dip in energy towards the end of the set but it just didn't happen, y'all were strong throughout. Your gimmicks were fresh and the crowd loved them. Jhoomar was dopeeee. Nice to see a slow, graceful jhoomar when it seems like a lot of teams are starting to speed up that segment, your blue jodi murked it. Love the fact that you guys rotate jodis around and everyone had a chance to kill it up front.

Congrats on a very deserving first place in a tough lineup. Hope to compete against you guys again in the future :)

Watched this set a couple of times-I gotta commend the captains for pulling the team together at Bruin-the set was extremely cleaned up and tweaked to present the best version of itself-energy was high throughout. I could go into all the things I loved about the set, but I would end up re-iterating what a lot of other people have said. Just to give some constructive feedback-things I think you guys could work on (and there isn't much lol)
-Stage presence in the more inexperienced/newer dancers: a lot of the guys seemed to lean forward a bit too much, I think they could benefit from keeping their chins up-though chances are they were interacting with the ground level crowd-I think they will look a bit bigger when keeping those chins up.
-Khunde had great gimmick integration and choreo-but the bust out choreo wasn't as well executed as it could have been-taking away from the creative concept
Hats off to the captains and the team,
Sonny

Will you all be releasing your Blowout performance??

We gave approval for its release, but the final GTV video has not been posted. I updated the original post with a link to the rough copy that Harjot sent us.

Apologies for never replying, but I agree with the points you made, Sonny. Looking down at ground level is one of my bad habits, too. Will keep that in mind for the future.

Thanks for your input!
