Lol A's suck? With the roster we have, we've still managed to have the 8th best record in the league. How do you like em? When they keep putting out consistently solid records with subpar rosters, you can't dislike em. I mean say what you want bout A's being cheap but the management's still better than the 'tards running the other team in the bay.

As a die-hard Giants fan, I can honestly say I'm pretty jealous of the way the A's are managed and somehow always manage to be competitive... Brian Sabean and Peter Magowan are the biggest doushbags in the the Major Leagues... Billy Beane is a smart guy, but his philosophy isnt exactly working, they just arent good enough to win it all with their cheap spending... The A's were never really in the spotlight in the Bay Area because they were always overshawdowed by the Gaints, I guess now that the A's will actually get some attention in the bay area, maybe a little more pressure to succeed, and Billy might actually spend more money...

Boston and Yankee fans, anyone with money can buy championships... If Bill Gates owned the Giants, trust me, Boston and New York would be nothing... Yea the Yankees havent won one in years, but the ones they have won have been by default, when you have so much talent, its pretty damn hard to lose...

The A's I like,

However, the trade I dont get. This is the first I have heard of it. Good ol Canadian boy in Rich Harden.

I always liked the A's way better than the Giants, probably because that goof ball Barry Bonds was on the Giants, and the home fans were too gutless to call him out on his bullshit and his steroids when they had a chance.

They are VERY well put together, and their farm system is nuts, because of one guy that nobody has EVER heard of, except for Toronto Blue Jays die hard fans and maybe some A's fans... Eric Kubota. Google this brilliant mo fo. He is the reason behind the A's. This guy produced so many players from oakland, and set up a scouting culture that was insane. This is why, the A's can afforf guys to be let go, like Harden, but still able to produce every year. While Vick can give some pretty soft insight, hahaha, kidding, let a real sports fan tell you something... The reason why they could do this trade:

Gio Gonzalez. Google him.

Blue Jays fans know Kubota because he was the man behind JP Ricchardi our current GM. Obviously didnt teach him well enough, but the Blue Jays are like the A's, developing an amazing and DEEP talent pool in the minors.

Kind of like how Kenny Holland gets all the praise in Detorit with the Wings, but it should be McDonnell, Haralson, and that European scout, Havluj, the one who told them to pick up Datsyuk in the 7th round. Beane looks good because of Kubota.

If the A's were to never win the World Series under Billy Beane, I would consider him an idiot... Summy is throwing out a lot of names, some of which I've never heard of, but let's be real here, Beane is running the show in Oakland. If the A's win, Beane gets credit, if they lose, well again it's Beane's fault... If I was an A's fan, I would probably be pretty frustrated right now, but since most A's fans arent really that hardcore about baseball, they just kinda blow it off... If the A's dont win one in the next 5-6 years, Beane is no better than any other GM in the country.

Summy you say hate the Giants because of Bonds, if you were a GM, trust me, you would have him on your team as well. The Giants were right up there with the Yankees and Red Sox in attendence, their market value was also right up there. The amount of money he brought to organization made him worth keeping around. The amount of excitement he brought when he came up to bat was unbelievable, imagine 47,000 people begging for a homerun every time you took a swing, and then coming through! I've heard some rumors that the Red Sox might be interested in Bonds, no surprise there... He's still a bigger threat than 99.9% of the major leagues, the only guy I would fear more is A Rod... If Bonds joins the Red Sox, it wont be long before they run away with that division...

Vick, I agree with, you he is a good commodity to have. He is all drama, that sells, sells and sells. As a human being, and a sports fan, I dont appreciate him because he cheats. His steroids and his attitude is what pisses me off. The fact that the fans gave him applause and stuff like that pissed me off. He lied under oath, he did steroids, he chews out reporters and fans like hes a gift from god. As a fan, and a human being, I hate him, but I understand, why as a orgnaization Barry Bonds was there. It was the chase to Aaron that made them a lot of money.

The A's had this culture of developing young, something the Yankees never want to do. They experimented with Joba Chamerlin, and he might be a number one guy in the future, and if anything, a top 3 relief pitcher. They owe it all to Kubota, 24 years with the organization, the guy is mastermind. Could probably be a GM anywhere.

But yeah, as a Giants fan, didnt bonds piss you off with everything he did? The way that jerk treated some fans, and the media. He lied underoath, acted like a jackass, all while representing the Giants. I mean thats a franchise with guys like Willie Mays, a really respectable historical franchise, and you have this guy litterally throwing that shit down the drain.

I think what he did for the franchise offsets his personality... I can see why the rest of the world hates him, hell if I didnt live in the bay area, I would probably hate him too. But the Giants are my team, and he carried this team on his back almost all the way to a world series win... The memories he's provided Giants fans far surpasses his mouth and his attitude towards the media. The sterods issue is a whole new debate. It sucks that he had to resort to steroids, but he was a pretty damn good player before the roids. Would he have broken the record without the roids? No one knows, but it's possible. He stayed in San Francisco for the majority of his career, even when he knew a world series ring was not in sight. Most of his memorable homeruns were hit in San Francisco, and it was no joke, he said he wanted to do everything at home. He wanted to do it for the fans that stuck with him till the end, and for that I never hate Barry Bonds. His loyalty to the team, and his love for the fans out here made it very hard for the fans to turn their back on him. I never did, he's still the best player to don a baseball uniform in my eyes...

Vick,

I understand your compassion for Bonds as a hometown guy, but I have a problem with a couple of your statements. First off, all of his accomplishments are tranished. Every home run he hit, I bet, if they wanted to, 100 other players in the MLB could too. The fac that they hoose to respect the sport, and its intergrity and not inject yourself with HGH, and other steroids, then you cant fault them. I am just shamed that my kids will grow up seeing that Barry Bonds is the all time home run leader, when Hank Aaron, a man who did it on blood, sweat and tears, has to be reduced to number two. In addition to being the biggest cheater and coward in sports history, he did this all wearing the same jersey that Willie Mays put on. Thats what would kill me if I was a giants fan, that the organization was a classy, historical rich one, but Bonds literally, single handly threw that shit down the drain..

THE BEST PLAYER IN HISTORY VICK? COMMON............................ thats a stretch.

Perhaps the guy with the most steroid connections to don a jersey. Even if you still take all his steroid, juiced states, he's still a sub par feilder, and defintely not the best of all time.

Common better than: Babe Ruth, Ty Cobbs, Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Lou Gehrig, Joltin Joe Dimaggio, CY YOUNG, mickey mantle, I could go on...

Its true, San Fran fans live in their own bubble. The guy took steroids, there is no justification for that. You lied, you cheated. Your head almost popped it got so big, and you lied to the world, under oath, and to your country that you didnt. THEN, flips it around on us and says, anyone who critisizes him, should look at themselves first, like we are at fault.

The guy cheated, lied, and got paid a lot of money doing it.

You have guys who literally almost died for their sport. Ruth, Cobbs, Williams and Mays, these guys are dudes who played not for the money, but for the love of the game.

Pre-roids... average to good player. Post roids, fake person, great numbers, fake numbers, and the worst thing to EVER happen to baseball. His legacy will be the worst thing to EVER happen to baseball. Do you want that with a Giants jersey always in display?

common vick, you gotta have love for the franchise, and see how this guy made you guys look stupid.
