Come out to the Harris Theater at George Mason University tomorrow evening (8/1) at 5:30pm for DCMPAA's Annual Summer Competition!

The Summer Competition features our students leading teams, making mixes, and choreographing sets entirely on their own. We are proud to showcase how far the academy has come over the last several years, and how much time and dedication our students put into the art form. We appreciate the constant support this Bhangra community provides our students, and we would love for you all to join us tomorrow evening.

Tickets can be pre-ordered for $7 from www.dcmpaa.com or can be bought at the door for $10.

See you tomorrow!

A successful night indeed for the North America Bhangra circuit.

Congrats DCMPAA. Great show and great atmosphere. I enjoyed it a lot. Seeing the kids dance was amazing to see how good they can be in the future. A few of them, you can see how they have what it takes to do well in future competitions with their grace, stamina and energy. The best dancer hands down was Raina but that's no surprise especially if you saw her dance at previous comps namely Big Apple last year.

Great work Nana and Tina & Co organizing this event and taking time to develop each and every dancer. I loved how even though this was a competition, there was the feeling among every dancer regardless of the results, that each of their efforts was something to feel good about after the show was over. In addition, the mc's asked some of the dancers why they do bhangra which was special to hear about. Best answer I heard was from one small boy in blue who was killing it with the expressions/energy when he was in the front --- "the audience". As a person who believes in stage presence and loves to interact with the crowd, I could definitely relate with that answer!

Congrats again guys!
