I would STRONGLY recommend Baba Ramdev's breathing exercises......there are three of them that should be done for 5 mins each...im sure there are plenty of vids on youtube...

get the album "21" by Adele and play on repeat while you lay in bed. I swear there is nothing more relaxing than lying in the comfort of your own bed while being serenaded by the voice of an angel.

Holy crap dude midterms and finals are the worst! I recommend that you start eating healthier, drink alot of water and start weight training. And do yoga!!!!!! Atleast once a week at the end just to take your mind off everything. It's a proven fact that living a healthier lifestyle is a big stress reliver.

And dude know this, life is hard and nothing comes anyone's way you have to work your ass off just to get what you want (and sometimes after so much hard work youll still fall a little short), stress is just an obstical put out to stop you from achieving success but you have to learn how to fight it.

I know everything I've said is probally the exact everyone else said but this is put experience I used to stress everything and get nowhere but I've learned to calm down and get shit done

I read an article in my anatomy class about the link between high blood pressure and stress. you should definitely cut out as much sodium from your diet as you can. I don't mean to bag on indian food, but it's probably the worst food in the world. I used to have high blood pressure, but I got way better as soon as I cut out achar from my diet. The kind my family used to buy contained 120% of recommended daily intake in 1 tbsp serving.

eat organic food. you are what you eat right? eating a chicken that has been fed growth pills and crammed in a cage for the last 3 months of its life could have some negative effect on you. eating a healthy free roaming chicken that has lived a clean and natural life could have some positive effect on you. If you can afford it, it can change your mentality about what you put in your body and potentially can change your mood.

Agree on the music choices, def don't listen to songs with deep meaning. Just listen to music that makes you happy or energizes you.

Play some golf. It may be a frustrating sport, but approach it in a fun way instead of a competitive one. some of the best landscape/scenery in your area is on a golf course. Look around while you are playing. it is beautiful.

Watch fish whether it be at an aquarium or your screen saver. I dont remember where, but I read or heard that studies show that it does calm you down. It did work for me the couple times I tried it.

Laugh. Laugh a lot. Watch Patch Adams, and Laugh some more. I used to get really wound up about small things, and I just started laughing. If you find something funny, and its weird, laugh out loud. Having fun, and more importantly, letting it out when your having fun is great. It also shows the people you care what you think is funny/cool, and they'll be there to help.

Chin up bro. Get lost in a good book. One of the best is called The thief by megan whalen turner. The hero makes me laugh, it might do the same for you.

haha agreed, i've always wanted a siberian husky myself - this puppy looked like that. stress reliever is every dog's middle name!stressful things happen sometimes when taking care of dogs of course, but when he/she comes up to you and wants to play everything else melts away. Trying to take good care of a pet/making sure it's happy helps me take my mind off things

So personally I can't relate to u, but try to find a low comedy TV show (aka anything with stupid comedy that you don't have to think of much and ACTUALLY makes you laugh) so make sure the TV show has about a season or two thats already been out goto motionempire.com and then start to watch from the very beginning that way you have enough episodes to never be already caught up on the show.
I've recently picked up on Modern Family (well i started catching up from the very beginning) and earlier seasons of Two and a Half Men and current season of Wilfred.
they all lead to a good laugh without much effort.

Try listening to solo instruments like pianos , flutes or find some nice, soft tracks to relax to. Also, if you have an ipod/iphone, download 2 apps called Relax Melodies and SM:RainFree. Both the apps are free. In addition to the two, try listening to slow, calm songs like kabootar by ravinder grewal.

If you want to try something different, check this link: http://www.ehow.com/how_8480594_slow-down-brainwave-frequencies.html

You can also try different diets. Check out a list of some foods to eat and avoid. http://www.anxietynomore.co.uk/food_and_anxiety.html
