One of my favorite parts of this season: Jordan calling to find Dexter and talking to Lumen instead and finishing the call with "Take care.... LUMEN" so intense!

Just watched the finale so I've been steering clear of this thread til now. Nice ending but I was surprised at the lack of a cliffhanger. Agreed w/ Suna abt the moment above!!

Rita > Lumen although yeah Rita was a bit oblivious and needy. Maybe it's cuz she was juggling 3 kids lol

Diagree with the ending. I love that, for ONCE it wasn't a climatic ending. It showed that some form of peace came to dexter and it set the outline for a possible end to the show that DOES NOT involve him being caught, killed, or committing suicide. That he could, in some form, have a resolution to his dark passenger. How many people do you think should die/get screwed around deb or dexter before it becomes redundant?

Deb would have: Ice Truck Killer,The kidnapped guy i forget his name, Lundy, and then Quinn? Letting quinn slide here was a good move

Dex would have: Rita, that english pryomaniac girl (Frogot her name too), and then Lumen? Lumen leaving was GOLDEN, but predictable (even if just because Julia Stiles is infact julia stiles and isn't becoming a permanent TV character).

That all being said, topping John Lithgow as a serial killer is near impossible, but i like the fresh perspective and different feel to this season in the end, not for being better but for being original

I wait till the season finishes before watching the new season, because normally it gets me so hooked that I go insane waiting for the new episode. However, honestly, if I didn't do that this season, I would have gotten bored and completely forgotten about Dexter.

It was refreshing to see a season about Dexter helping someone else find retribution. It was nice to see the writers try something different rather than the formularic Dexter season. However, I found it pretty disappointing and boring COMPARED to past seasons. I think the bar has been raised too high and a lot of us fans are going to be disappointed.

....other than the fact listed above, I couldnt stand Rita. Everytime she opened her mouth to talk it made me cringe, she was such a doe. Then lumen's character this season was really annoying as well. Not a big fan of the two characters that were dexter's girls.

it was def a good season. the whole point of the season was showing that people can change, with one of the key moments occurring when harry says to dexter, "im proud of you. you showed that you care for someone else. you arent the monster i thought you were". he even reflects on that moment during his end of season inner monologue.
