I need a picture of the roping of a single roped dhol. I single roped mine but I got some excess left at the starting of the rope and the end. I don't know what to tie where on the starting of the rope to make the belt hook on.
I'm planning to platt the end excess but I don't know how to finish the roping. I got all the roping done on the bolts but I don't know where to put the last piece of rope (excess)

Also one of the bolts is loose and doesn't fit in properly its thread is worn down I think. Is there any alternative thing I can do to it for temporarily keeping it in? (until I buy a new one)

Please help, urgent need of assistance here D:

if the nut is loose for the one you put on the hook to tighten thili then your gonna have to get a new hook or nut ( depends if the nut is damaged or the hook thread grooves are starting to wear smooth)

you shouldn't have excess rope in the begining because you usually tie a not with a loop kind of thing to use to tighten the string. the end of it though, i usually just loop it through the other string and make a braid kind of thing back and forth that i would connect my dhol strap too. don't cut the string off cause then you won't be able to re use that in the future. as far as the bolt goes.... ur sol bro

Yea I got a knot on the end of the rope which is at the start also I put all the rope on but I don't know where to place the last one. Here's a pic.

As you can see, the last roping part has the end not attached to anything - Where should that rope piece go?

Also what do I do with the excess at the top? (the one with the knot) if I pull it all the way the knot would be on top of the dagga side in-between the rim and the skin, and possibly sticking a bit out, is that how it is supposed to be?

The part with the knot, tie another not so that there would be a loop kind of thing left at the end of it, then you put the end of the rope through that loop and pull down to tighten that last end. then tie that end rope to anything to maintain the tension and you should be good

you put it through the loop that you made and pull down, and tie a knot making sure the tension isn't released. if the tension is released you'll have to re do it

Quick note, I noticed that you made a hoop out of the rope itself. If possible, get an extra ring, the same as you use to tighten your dhagga side, or something similar (just make sure it can handle a bit of force) and use that as your hoop instead of making one out of the rope. When you pull on the rope-ring, there is a chance that the knot can come out and then you're screwed. Take the safe route and just use an extra ring.

I don't have an extra ring but I know what your talking about. Also before re-roping it from double rope to single it was using the hoop as well but im going to hold it and test the strength of it from the rope anyway's to make sure 100% that it wont come loose

Agreed, if you're not positive that your knot won't come out then i highly suggest you just use a ring... but then u have to be careful the knot holding the ring doesn't come out either..
