I hope it sounds like traditional animal skin on both dagga and tilli sides because I never used it before, maybe it looks new? I'm not so sure

From my experiences and personal choice, i would have to say, hands down, desi heads sound the nicest. They have a crisp warm feeling that remos can't even touch. Im not going to lie, when im playing for dance floors or baraats with music, hands down remo is better (depending on what desi head you have) because at that point the loudest wins, no one even cares what the drum sounds like. When im on stage i definitely prefer desi heads, theres just nothing else you can go with that will give you that sound. I've done some research in the past month on heads and i've actually come to a surprising conclusion


Loudness: AW&Sons >Remo Ambassador> MR > Gbc >Remo Diplomat


Crispness: AW&Sons > MR > GBC > Remo Ambassador > Others


I wasn't always a fan of AW&Sons due to a couple of crappy personal experiences but man was i wrong, a friend of mine has it on his and he let me play his drum and compare it to each of my dhols and it just couldn't compare.

black always sounds like shit... gbc deluxe super duper shit is all the same...stick with white gbc I find its much sharper in sound

All gbcs can be tuned to sound good with the right drum but i find the white gbc to sound the best

idk which gbc sounds the best but i use the normal gbc and it sounds beautiful and same with MRs
