Dhol Wood

My cousin bought a Dhol and wanted to know what type of wood it is made of. If anyone has a clue please let me know.

it looks like kali taali but then again i`m not a pro dholi and i`m still pretty ,uch learning about the different properties of the wood used for dhols but yeah it looks like kali taali

This is my account and I am the one looking for a dhol for my cousin. I am not the one buying the dhol in the pic. I do not know what you and my cousin talked about cause I have this account on this site so he sent me the pic and I decided to find out more cause he said that you were not really quite sure thats why I decided to ask people here just so that I can let my cousin know what kind of dhol he is buying. It just that my cousin said the dhol looks great but I want to know what I am buying thats all.

I'm definitely no dhol expert but if it were kaali talli, I think the whole wood would be dark, but the one in the pic has light spots, so I'm thinking it's Kachi Pakki wood.
