Dholetc.com still working?!? Any inside information?

Per recommendations on this site I ordered a chimta from Dholetc.com
I paid etc to have it expedited, however the status of the order has been "processing" and no one from the company has replied to my emails and calls for two weeks.

Was I scammed? Anyone have success buying from them recently?

Any informations?

Sorry to hear about the situation you're in Taimur. I have never dealt with dholetc, but you might try filling a complaint through the Better Business Bureau (BBB): http://www.bbb.org/new-jersey/Business-Reviews/musical-instruments-dealers/dhol-etc-in-somerset-nj-90103451/complaints


It might be a little hard to see, but click on the link that says "File a Complaint against DHol Etc" from the website that I provided above. That might help speed up the process in hearing something back.

From rumors that i've been hearing, apparently the owner of the company has been in a whole bunch of shit with his personal and professional life so he has not been keeping up with his orders.... This being said, i ordered a brand new kaali taali dhol and hardcase from Karan almost a year ago.... I still haven't heard from him. Luckily i know the owner personally so i didn't have to pay him till i got the stuff i ordered but yeah he doesn't even respond to my calls anymore. Very unfortunate situation

I have a friend in Houston who ordered a dhol from them over a year ago. Never received it. Tried everything possible to contact them. Never got a reply or was able to contact them. He also reported it to the BBB, didn't help at all he said. He since then gave up on it and pretty much lost quite a bit of money that he sent them. :/

I ordered from one of the dudes from Bhangra Avenue about 3 years ago, he knew the DholEtc guy so he got it through him. So possibly try that

Would anyone happen to have a functional phone number or any other contact information for Dhol etc (http://www.dholetc.com/index.php)? They were supposed to refund me for an order placed several months ago and I've sent at least 15 emails at this point with no reply. If anyone has any info, please let me know

I heard from a friend Dholetc.com got bought-out mid last year. (Bain Capitol)

I called in to see if someone would pick up.
This guy Anthony said they were under new ownership and are making improvements.

I asked about buying a dhol, he told me to stop by his warehouse in NJ
I guess I will see how it goes.

If anyone has or had a problem with dholetc.com, I would try to call-in or email the new ownership
Maybe they could do something.

Yeah, I was ordering some daggeh and needed some other stuff and maintenance from them. I received an email literally the next day after contacting Dhol ETC through the 'Contact Us' page. They seem to be working, altho haven't placed any orders yet. The guy seemed pretty helpful tho, he was helping me address a few problems with my dhol. (this was like 6 days ago)
