cool...some of the levels are off in the songs - making them unclear, or phuzzy on monitor speakers...i know ur prolli going for a lot of bass, but dont sac quality. great work!

ahha i thought that too at first but then i played the album on my 5.1 speaker system and there wasnt any distortion. its just that the monitor speakers cant handle the low bass in the tracks and since the tweaters are soo close together it sounds like crap. try playing the album in a car or hometheatre system.

see im always confused, cuz ive always heard that what sounds right on monitor speakers is what u should level ur songs at....i thought that was the ultimate EQ for like cd quality stuff...but its prolli different with bhangra songs anyways, cuz of all the bass levels and added layerings of percussions.

ive never heard that bro. i usually never raise the volume of the ORIGINAL track because i know they are professionally rendered already. its from that point where i start to mess around with the volumes of the different loops and instruments and etc. to get the right tune going.

yes, in general it should play cleanly on monitor speakers. If your bass is distorting on them, you have some low/mid overlap that needs to be cleaned. Either some midrange should accompany the bass to indicate its occurrence or the bass should be silent.

It's a tricky balance, no easy solution other than to check on multiple sources I would think. I just checked it on my laptop and then my 5.1s and theres some distortion on both. It's fine out the amp though so i'm sure this would bump just fine in a car. Still it's somewhat detracting, but the album is real nice
