ok soo like im sitting here in class before it started of course but .... i got a call from a lady asking bout asking us to dance for them at some wedding thing ... and instead of saying BHANGRA ... she said bang-ra ... for some reason im just like cant you say bhangra your desi everyone should be able to say it properly ... cept like gore i understand that ... LETS ALL DO BANG-RA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing you can do bro. outside of punjab, no one really knows about bhangra. unless it's a common thing talked about, no one will pronounce it correctly.

Correct them by saying the word a few times, they'll catch on (i.e. 'our bhangra team something', 'let me confirm with the bhangra team', 'bhangra is pretty intensive so we can't really do over 10 min' etc etc).

It's annoying yea, but this is your chance to undo all that Sarina Jain-damage so use it haha!
