Na, I dont have my tragus done..yet anyway. That's one of the 2 that I want. I also have my left cartilage done and I'm getting another one right next to it so Ill have two (thats the same ear where I want my tragus done)

Anyone have any tats? I'm debating to get "Jai Mata Di" written in Hindi on my left shoulder and a small OM (the symbol) on my left hand at the bottom of my thumb.

Miestro .. if you "really" dont care about what the society thinks .. please walk around holding a guys hand in public (just like they do in india).. or play with another guys hair ...
I never said that you should follow what the society does.... but it is also important to adjust in the country you live in.
Also, it has been proven over LOGICAL statistics that homosexuals CHOOSE to have it on the right ear which signifies their sexuality hence when you have just a piercing on the right.. a homosexual person will have an impression that your gay.. even though you "might" not be..

M to the T
If I dont care what society thinks then I should walk around holding a guys hand in public? How does that make any sense? I've never held a guy's hand in a private setting, why would I do it in a public setting?......I should adjust to the country I live in? I was born and raised here! Whats there to adjust to? Just because a statistic tells you that homosexual people do a certain, does not make you a homosexual if you do it. Im sure theres a lot of guys on this forum that get their eyebrows threaded. Does that make them gay? In the AMERICAN society, rarely do you see men of other ethic backgrounds doing their eyebrows unless they're gay, but there are LOTS of Desi guys who get their eyebrows done. Does this mean they need to adjust to the society they live in because they might be percieved as gay if they are not? I dont think so. im secure enough with my sexuality to proudly wear an earring on my right ear for my own reasons despite of a stupid statistic. Furthermore, this is probably the first time in 6 months im hearing something like this so it must not be a very prevalent or credible statistic. Actually i probably would have gotten the right ear done anyways had I know this "rule" as I don't follow stupid trends like this in society. Just because you say its been proven, it doesnt give that stat any more credibility than the next Joe Shmoe. loll you're a good man though Monti. I still l like you haha

Meistro, sounds to me like you missed the train on the "gay right earring" thing and now you are fervently defending yourself/questioning others. Forget about the statistic...I would liken this to an "unwritten rule" in society, sports, culture etc. I knew about this 8 years ago when I had my left ear pierced....think about it....I was on the opposite coast from where you are...and it was almost a decade ago. But if you HONESTLY?!?! would have gotten it done anyway, well I guess it doesn't matter for you then.

loll theres honestly nothing to defend...NSC come on buddy, use your brain here, I know you can do it...if I really felt like shit about getting the "wrong" ear pierced because it would apprently make me a homosexual, don't you think I would take the earring out, let the hole close, and get the left ear pierced? Seriously, think about what you guys are saying before you come on here trying dis me. Telling me that im defending myself. Sheesh, those are some retarded ass statements....anyhow, I really don't have anything to prove to you guys, who gives a flying shit, life goes on.

Thanks Kapil. Next time I see you in Boston, I will show you the piercing on my limpy WENIS. lol

Regarding the Gay Argument. Many gays have associated themselves with getting a piercing on their right ear. People will associate right ear pierced with being gay, but Shanjeet, I completely agree with you that one shouldn't listen to society in this case at all. Apparently I've been told that in India, left ear means that you're gay and I am 100% sure that in a few fucking years, people will go vice versa for no reason at all. In this case (because there are certain customs that you do need to respect and adapt to in a country), fuck this perception because it needs to go to hell. (As well as other similar stereotypes - Remember when it was said that if you cared about how you looked, you were gay? Most of society doesnt think that way anymore).

Kinnell .. so as i got done reading your post ... right underneath your reply .. there was a banner that said " Are you gay?" ... Hilariouss!

Miestro.. I am glad that you don't care about what the society thinks .. and i am also on the same boat as you in relations too not caring ... but obviously this is all based on our preferences/opinions .... I like stats .. you dont :) plain and simple .. Stats show women wear skirts, and guys wears pants.. i say screw it young lad .. wear a skirt :)
Btw .. i don't really care if you like me or not.. i have my stories..and you have yours ;)

At the end of the day.. its mr Kinnell who wants a piercing .. its your body and you can do whatever you want with it... and if you need any help with anything .. call me ..

It's not gay to pierced ur right ear.
I agree with Somia, its only the nose ring, that it has to be on left not right.

ok this ship probably sailed already. Logically, if many gay people wind up getting their right ear pierced-this does not always apply that someone who gets his right ear pierced is gay. Math logic: p=>q does not mean q=>p (at least I left college remembering something). That's like saying a bunch of bhangra dancers who quickly pick up breakdancing will always imply that breakdancers will pick up bhangra quickly (... sure as hell wasn't the case for me).

Regardless, Kinnell this decision is for you to make. Personally, I say both-what's the point of getting just one ear pierced.

Another quick question-why does a nose piercing have to be on the left nostril?

Last quick question (... I'm white... I have a lot of questions lol). Is there any bhangra song that has been put into sheet music? I used to play clarinet, and flute for that matter, and all music was started with a treble clef. Drums were started with a neutral clef.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clef

I'd get a tattoo of the treble or neutral clef on my spine-right below my neck. Either that or the sheet music of a song tattooed... somewhere. A little weird, but whatever.

does anyone else not understand what they math equation is implying? In words, "if P is greater than or equal to Q, that does not mean Q is greater than or equal to P".... really?

That's not a greater-than-or-equal-to sign. p=>q is to be read "if p then q", p being the hypothesis and q being the conclusion. The statement is essentially saying that if p occurs, then q also occurs. However, the converse (q=>p) is not equivalent. The occurrence of q does not guarantee the occurrence of p.

its actually said that piercing the left nostril is suppose to ease childbirth.

if p then q is not valid here because it implies every gay person has a right ear piercing
generally, if i remember correctly, if p -> q then !q -> !p, that is, the inverse corrolary is true. that was a long time ago tho. weren't we talking about whether he should pierce his ear(s)?

yea if statement true, contrapositive true, but the converse or inverse are not necessarily true
