Full disclosure, HUGE fan of this team since BAB. I thougt VPD couldnt be topped but you guys knocked it out of the park...and will always be the elite winners in my book. No disrespect to those who placed higher, everyone brought it SO hard this year, and it really could have gone many ways and legitimately at that. But this team stands out to me for keeping the focus on Bhangra more than MOST others in the lineup. They danced longer, kept rapidly moving around the stage, and had hard choreo with verrry few opportunities for rest, and still had BOMB energy in the end... and their creativity hovered around the Bhangra theme rather than anything external. EVERY DANCER has highlight reel from this dance, multiple memorable nakhre and flairs added to moves, without outdoing each other too much and thats RARE.

SHAHRUKH you know you were just thinking one thing the whole time "must get low for kato bass drop meow" and you did of course hahaha. Your tears at the end show where your true joy from Dancing originates, fraternal nakhra hahaha fraternal jodiyan fraternal love. It really At the end of the day is just about the good times and adventures you spend with your team, be it guys or girls...that's what hurts the most about leaving the scene is just the kickin it aspect too man. You jawans had so much Josh, keep it alive don't let it die out! When the scene needs something fresh and yet folk again, I know JJ will be there to show em how it's done.

Haha I've been a huge fan since VPD back in 09. Rangla Punjab + lollipop = epic

You all have definitely come a long way since then and it was sick sharing the stage with you all. Formations were really really creative

With GTV, you're able to see dancers more clearly and focus on formations to a lesser degree. With that said, I would have hoped to see the individual swag (aka "OD nakhra", "step variations", "adding your own twist to the step when the rest of the team is doing something else") toned down a bit more. There's a lot of talent and experience on this team, but it is still a team performance and that reduction in individual swag would have resulted in an even cleaner performance. Still a clean performance. Most dancers blended well (except shorter green who stood out at too many points). And in regards to the end, if you're bringing other dancers to the stage, make sure they don't detract from the cleanliness. Your main roster was killing the end and unfortunately were hidden by weaker, "audience" dancers that did not mesh well with the rest of the dancers.

To me, the JJ has set itself apart by having a set with a mix of standard bhangra steps and bhangra steps with creative variations. The set has next-level formations (GTV doesn't do justice to that unfortunately) and picks a maximum of 3-4 x-factor gimmicks for the entire routine to maintain the "folkness" of the set. However, for the latter observation, I would have hoped to see more originality if you were to do a gimmick. We've seen the khundey spin (SGPD, JJ) , the floating khundey on rafters (APD), the back banner drop (countless), different leveled lehria (VCU..etc) - if you're going to do a maximum of few x-factors in the routine, then make them something completely new and different. I'm not saying do more gimmicks - you guys have a great balance between creativity and folk. But all gimmicks that you do, we've seen so many times that it's just an opportunity lost to do something more memorable.

Would have loved to see you guys compete at a comp against NJ, SGPD, PCBCA..etc before you retired. Even with the Canadian teams competing less and less in the circuit, most US teams are unable to keep up. For US, these are some of our most desperate hours. Help US, Joshiley Jawan. You are one of our only hopes. :)

Just wanted to clear something up. The khunde hanging from the wires was actually supposed to be a lot better. See we made a contraption with 4 pvc pipes and 1/3 inch metal wiring to make it appear as if the khunde were FLOATING. You see, in our practice videos the wire becomes INVISIBLE from about 30 feet away(and that was in broad daylight!) so we assumed that in a large auditorium the viewers are atleast 30 feet away this is gonna look so sick. however, when we got to tech time and we realized that it would be visible the entire time(due to the bright lights above reflecting on the metal wire) and that the effect was just gonna look like some basic hanging shit we were pretty bummed. We actually spent a lot of time making and planning for it! pretty wack LOL
