everybody knows nj or sgpd was suppose to get first in this comp...f the judging scores because performance wise they were both sick way better than VCU..just my opinion and pretty sure others agree with me

I noticed it too, but thought i'd let Vick be Vick and do the honors of pointing it out.

NJ once again came into a competition and brought something new and sick. They have been known to do this from the start. In my opinion i believe they should won this competition. Although VCU had a clean set without any mistakes, I believe there set was not hard to perform which is the reason for their cleanness.

whoa whoa whoa.....I love how ppl are hating on vcu now but this is EXACTLY what ppl used to say about empire....you so called vcu fans are bandwagon jumpers.....yeah I have my opinions about their elite set and I discussed it the appropriate team members....at the end of the night they were still one of few teams who did bhangra with joshe and with grace and energy. Nachdi jawani was wayyyyy too gimmicky. This is ELiTE bhangra not bruin. I would encourage nj to take their elite set to bruin and I can guarantee a first place. Grabbing each others daang is not bhangra. Dandia is not bhangra....if they took their gimmicky stuff out they could have gotten first in my opinion. Njs set was def entertaining though...Sgpd also had a new and fresh set....but again....NOBODY can complain about judging....the teams judged....some were easy some were hard....objectivity from peer judges was not a common theme and this should be worked on for this judging style to be successful because I really favor it.

I realize this thread hasnt been posted on in while but ive just noticed it and some of the points meistro has brought up are extremely valid i could not have said it better myself. Indeed NJ had the most entertaining set at Elite 8 but it was not "bhangra" in most peoples books. Agian i agree that at a compeition like Bruin they would have taken first hands down but as it was Elite 8 the placing were fair im my opinion. I do believe that SPGD should have placed first or second in my opinion because they did have a fairly higher degree of difficulty, while keeping it bhangra. Once again i realize this is an old thread but i could not resist replying after meistro hit the nail on the head with his comments.

I think Kinnel, Swi, and Saleem should judge every bhangra comp. from now on!


just give them a day or 2 to do all the calculations though
