Eminem is a real MC. Guys like Drake will never stack up, they don't understand the science of it like Em. He is coming hard on this album.

not to hate or even disagree on the posts made, but how come every discussion becomes a Versus issue? can't we just talk about how amazing Em is? though i swear on my life i have heard maybe 2 songs off relapse. i didnt want to tarnish the great eminem in my heart.

things are only fun with villains and heroes. its our insatiable need to define ourselves in the context of aincent epics pathos like that. the trojans versus the greeks. nazi germany versus everyone else. lakers versus celtics. kobe bryant versus white women.

plus drake is canadian and i wont ever pass up a chance to hate on those canucks.

drake isn't claiming he is better than anyone.

..but of course his verses aren't as deep as eminem..i think the reason people are really feelin drake's music is cuz of his delivery..he has one of the best deliveries to date.

I don't get the random Drake hate, dudes pretty good in my opinion, obviously he's not on Eminem's level, but he's better than a good number of rappers out right now

"Last name ever, first name greatest...."

For me, his punch lines are predictable and his attempt to be lyrical is just lazy. The entire persona with the fake Southern accent and whatnot is just something I can't respect...and it is a reflection of where Hip Hop is when things like "swag" override lyrical ability, MCing, etc.

I just brought Drake up because I think Eminem can't be topped by most rappers out right now, even someone like Drake who many consider one of the best out there. And Kush, you didn't miss anything on Relapse. He really should not have put that album out, probably his worst ever.

I'm SO glad I waited this out for Em to come back, I never got on the Lil Wayne train and never will. I've been bumping Em on my ipod for the last 5 months and turned the radio completely off, rap blows right now.

True, eminem can't be touched by most rappers, but drake is DEFINITELY a step up from the general population of rap these days. Thats all i can say on it. And eminem obviously acknowledged it, he jumped on Forever.

Harman, even Eminem on his first track Not Afraid acknowledged the shittyness of Relapse lol. I'm not so worried.

Any thoughts on THIS track btw?

wooops..forgot about that line hahahah...welll....he did say that but I'm quite sure thats just part of the swag that many mainstream rappers have to carry in order to be successful and sell records nowadays...but seriously, Drake is not parading around like Lil Wayne saying "best rapper alive" on almost every track he gets on....

I've had conversation with you Harman before (not calling you out specifically..just recalling)...and I think you gravitate towards real "true to the game" MCs...thats writing ability is far superior to the likes of Drake or Lil Wayne (e.g. Eminem, Nas, Rakim)...at the end of the day, it comes down to personal preference..and anyone saying that Drake and Lil Wayne are in the same league as true lyricists don't know what they are talking about..

Personally, I love drake's music...think he has a real talent for writing hooks and "punchlines" as you call them that appeal to multiple demographics...and I'm ok with him being all over the radio and selling tons of records..but thats just me.
