Dam, you guys really killed it! Really good set and what a performance. Really bright future ahead! Good luck with the rest of the competitions for the year (if you guys participate in any). Big shout out to my boy Karnbir on the team ;)

Have to agree with most people here. SUCH an improvement from the last video I saw. You guys look a lot cleaner and IMO, that was the number one thing holding you back before...sucks that apparently the judges at Fever didn't weigh that too heavily. I am surprised this didn't place as well, but I also have not seen all the videos.

There are many times though when dancers just do some of the moves differently, and its not necessarily always a stylistic different but just the balance of grace/energy in certain moves is different across the board. You guys have improved upon that vastly, but I think continuing to do that will definitely make a difference. Maybe coupling that with the few visible mistakes (damn, that stage MUST have been slippery), is what kept you from placing.

Ram - absolutely nasty with the boli! crowd went wild!

Best of luck at future comps though! I really can see the improvement as can everyone and so keep working in that direction! Great job FCB!

Jeez Sid, how did you have the presence of mind to slide over that khunda that was slickkkkk haha
+1

that was hot, I love it when dancers are aware of the things going on around them.
haha thanks guys! I saw it, knew it shouldn't have been there, so I just slid it down the line hoping it would land in front of the guy who needed it.

^I believe the reason they can say that is because it's their personal opinion and they are entitled to it?.. but IDK I could just be making that up...

Jk, but anyway on the real, this was amazing and I don't care what anybody says, I'm so proud of everyone on this team and how far every dancer has come. Loved the set loved the execution, yeah there were mishaps, but hey that's life. You guys killed it and the video proves just that. FCBeastmoding.

And honestly, the Gur Naal Ishq Mitha gimmick didn't hit for me at all and kinda took away from the better, banner bust out.
it's funny, the judges gave us the exact opposite feedback and weren't huge fans of the banner bust out, which really shows the discrepancy between what bhangra judges consider "entertaining" and the audience/bhangra circuit, the obvious strife of competitive bhangra....i felt that including both offered a variety to our set that ive seen lacking in recent bhangra times, not to talk us up- but for those who the cutsie gimmick didnt quite do it for, the routine was structured so a folk/power/hype segment immediately followed, if that made up for what you thought was lost through Gur Naal Ishq Mitha

The gimmick didn't hit for me, not because of the nature of the gimmick (aka cutsie), but rather because "dancers stopping to take what I consider "a break segment" and disguising it by revealing random prop with letters, writing out team name and/or recent holiday and/or audience location" has been so overdone that it ceases to be impressive or creative anymore. And take out "dancer putting on a chunni for girl-guy interaction" out of your list of things lacking in recent bhangra times.

Believe me, I love cutsie segments. BU Bhangra's KKHH segment at BBC 2012 made me skip a heart beat. In my opinion, it just didn't hit. And don't mistaken the "obvious strife between bhangra judges and the circuit" for the differing opinions between 3 bhangra judges at Bhangra Fever 2013 and some posted opinions on BTF.

EDIT: BU Bhangra, not Boston Bhangra.

this makes a lot of sense. we will definitely concentrate on making our gimmicks have more of a wow factor. i think the banner hit cause it was quick and kept the flow of the routine, where as the heart segment dragged a bit.

we appreciate all the feedback everyone!

Hands down the best set of the night. I was entertained the whole time, the choreo was complex, and the execution was spot on other than some small missteps.

I say it because of execution. Maybe NGPD's set had more potential/wow factor/swag, but FCB executed the set they had better than NGPD did theirs. Just my opinion. Just look at the saaps angles/moves during the first minute of NGPD's set and tell me that wasn't a little messy.

FCB has been doing it big this year. Teh burgh performance was a breakout performance and since then they have been getting cleaner andbetter. This performance should of placed in my opinion despite the two or three mess ups in the beginning and middle. Keep it up boys. I expect a lot from you guys at Bruin this year!

i love that you guys always post your videos and you can actually see dancers grow from video to video. its awesome.

shout out to pankaj (i think) with the sher. i appreciate that it wasnt just distorted anger and was delivered very well. i enjoyed it more than most i've heard.

sids khunde slide is possibly one of the coolest things ive seen on stage.
