I don't know how people can possibly say that sher was "amazing" It really needed a lot of work some constructive critcism the guy needs to work on his acsent a lot because it's a huge turn off in a performance when the beginning isn't done well it sets a tone for the beginning of the performance

I have a tip for you bro: You make posts that seem to attack other members and their thoughts/opinions. When you do this, take an extra 2-3 minutes and elaborate on WHY you disagree. You're explanations leave a lot of questions as to why you're saying what you're saying. I believe you have the best interest of bhangra and your peers, but you're way of expressing it is different. By explaining yourself further and making your posts a little longer will make your posts more reasonable.

A. Accent**

B. His accent is fine.

C. There is no such thing as a true Panjabi accent, because it is spoken differently in each region. Malwa is different from Majha, which is different from Doaba. Even outside of Panjab, it is spoken differently in Harayana or even Delhi. Panjabi from Pakistan is totally different. Even different regions of Pakistan have different accents or dialects.

I am from Amritsar, and Panjabi is my first language. Based on my experience, his "accent" is totally fine. It set the correct mood and atmosphere that our team is about. Ram's stands out a bit, because he is singing, and there are specific pitches and notes that, traditionally, Panjabi singers hit in a different style. However, Ram did extremely well, and so did Pankaj.

I know this is beaten to death, but you guys seriously get better every time I see you guys. The set, just like the mix, was too sick. Loved the banner gimmick with DMX, it really set the tone for the last minute or so of the set. And that ending...how many jumps was that? :O

Also, jugni choreo has been creative like always. One of my favorites.

A couple mishaps happen from time to time, I would know, but this set was great.

Oh and Ram, I think the Sher was on point. Good job!

This makes me miss dancing :/

To be honest, the Sher is a pretty good attempt, but the punjabi pronounciation does sound just a bit off at parts. For example, his pronunciation of "jithe" right at the beginning. Nonetheless, I don't expect every team to have a professional singer or something come out, so i appreciate the effort.

Listen Let me explain myself further because I wasn't attacking the guy, For most part of the sher it was Good but The accent was for sure Noticeable. If you're from Amritsar I have no idea how you did not notice the Accent. I'm just saying this guy has Potential for sure but his Accent is definitely something he needs to work on because every little mistake is noticeable in a sher that's why it needs to be perfected

Haha True man But listen I wasn't attacking this guy I'm just saying if he had worked on his accent a more and tried to sing more fluent Punjabi it would've just made the Sher and the Performance That much better even though it was nice. Sher is real important in a bhangra performance It's basically the base of the performance.

Every Little Mistake in a Sher is Noticeable Because Everyone Is Listening to you you are the main focus that's why it has to perfected. But other than that it was entertaining performance overall

So according to you, the whole performance was poor because you think the sher wasnt up to your standards?

Can you show all of us what a perfect sher sounds like?

Dude When did I say the entire performance was poor? I said it would've made the performance just That Much Better if the Sher was perfected even though it was still Okay...I liked the performance so I don't know what you're talking about. The guy above me is right You guys are improving a lot performance after performance.

I'm not talking shit I'm just saying and giving advice that the sher needs to be one of the top focuses coming into a performance because it's like the base in a performance and Everyone is watching/listening to you. Re-read what I wrote earlier. No harm in what I said the guy has Potential and a Voice but Every Little Thing/ Mistake is Noticeable in a Sher

I understand where you are coming from. To a large extent you are right with what you said. At first it just sounded like you were unreasonably attacking someone. The only reason people got offended is because you didn't really explain your POV.

All izz well. No harm. No foul.

What do you think we can do next time?

Yeah I know I tend to that but my intentions are never too offend anybody man I just love bhangra and music too much. Just keep doing what you boys are doing because you got the dancers you got the talent everything is there. Just Perfect every little thing because there's so much competition out there and people really do notice every little thing
