We would like to thank Bhangra in the Burgh 6 for hosting a great competition as well as all of the teams that came out to make such a great show. Congrats to TAG, Cornell Bhangra, and Cal Bhangra for placing and to all of the other teams for amazing performances. Thank you to the FCB Oldies that came out- Swi, Ravi, Alan, Vineet, Neel, Anand, and especially Amogh. Also big thank you to our liaisons Vivek and Cynthia. We feel that it is also important to share that one of the true inspirations for First Class Bhangra to continue year in and year out is getting to perform in front of all of our fans and family members in Pittsburgh. Its great seeing so many familiar faces and getting to perform for such a diverse and enthusiastic audience.

It was a great night in Pittsburgh and we look forward to many more.

Thank you,

First Class Bhangra

Re: First Class Bhangra @ Bhangra in the Burgh 6 *** UPDATED WITH VIDEO***

I have updated the post to include the video. unfortunately only the stage monitors were on and the speakers throughout the auditorium were not turned up too high so it is difficult to hear the mix. we will be uploading the mix soon, however please contact FC Beats for any mix services!

Wanted to give an extra shout out to Pankaj. Our singer's flight got canceled the day before the competition. w a sore throat and a days worth of prep he pushed through it. the effort was appreciated by the team.

Props to Pankaj for putting the team on his back with that boli.

Not to take away from the placing teams, but I'm surprised this set didn't get a trophy... You guys NEED to bring this routine to more stages this season.

Just a recommendation- get the prop segments as clean as the rest of the routine and get the rest of the routine even cleaner than it is now. The ideas and concepts that you guys are working with are undeniably sick but the execution slips at times... Also, keep working with your newer/younger dancers to get as comfortable and energetic on stage as the veterans.

Tere tillon and pehle lalkare = awesome.

Congrats on a BOSS performance... your best one yet.

Shout out to the dholi ;)

This was by far your best set yet. Jugni was my favorite. I absolutely loved it! So proud of all of you! And even though I haven't met all of you yet, I already feel welcomed into the first class family and I will gladly beast mode at any opportunity I get, even here at work.

Agreed. Thought it was FCB's best performance by far and it should've placed.
If you guys clean up here and there where everyone already pointed out and bring your weaker dancers up to par, this set will help you guys rack in those trophies without question.

I felt going first didn't help your cause either , rough luck.

Best Performance by FCB to date.

Keep it up boys. You don't always need a trophy to win. I have no doubts you all will wreck it if you keep this up and win some big ones ;)

Shout out to Ram for teaching those youngins and making them such filthy dancers!

The only thing I didn't like were the brown vardiyan. Harman looks really sexy in black!

So. Much. Swag. Love the choreo, love the style, best performance yet.

- Sapp segment was off the hook, kept surprising me every 8 beats and it just hit so hard.
- Formations had so much movement, really enjoyed trying to guess where you were going next. Vertical lines were a bit messy though.
- Jugni was so sick, love the choreo/mix there.
- Just something I noticed, I feel like your formations didn't spread out and use the whole width of the stage as much as they could have. A lot of times it felt like half the team was covered when you had enough room to hit hard and spread out. Example from 5:14-6:26. Something small but that I think would make a big difference when you want to hit a segment/move hard.
- You guys go wilder than any other team on your betkas, it's insane.
- Loved pehle lalkaare, so cute.
- Ending was insane.

Loooooved it!!

Ahhhh. My favorite performance from burgh, I’ve watched these two videos a good amount of times.

Opener (Sapps):
Honestly one of the best FCB performances I have watched to date.
The opening from 2:56-3:58 was completely sick, I love the mix…will definitely bump that in the car on my way to school. Sapps were on point—I loved the gimmick of jumping of the sapp fence. What caught my eye were the formations—consistent movement made the performance lively and engaged with the audience. I feel it could have been a little cleaner, it felt at times that sapps weren’t being opened as wide as some of the more experienced dancers. Black jhodi (Harman) was the dancer that stuck out to me the most—the energy was great. Oh, and betkas at the beginning were sick…love the lead in to sapps.
Kunda:
The whole segment once again was fire! The formations were moving at all times which makes a viewer like me ponder about what formation might be coming next, but what made me really like it was the clean choreo—all of the spins were on point which is hard to do for 12 dancers at once.
As redundant as I may sound, I absolutely LOVE formations. Perfect circles, clean lines, and all of the dancers look like their having fun. Sometimes you can tell even from a distance if a dancer isn’t engaged in the performance compared to the other dancers but all of the FCB Juniors look filthy sick. I completely loved it. Jugni was perfect, I think I caught a little slip/trip with one of the black jhodi in the middle but played off well. Love the nakhra. After a couple of times watching the performance video, I’m not really fond of the brown vardi—the dancers were good no doubt, but the vardi just didn’t appeal to me. The drops from 4:59-5:04 were perfect, except I think from my point of view, it looks like some of the dancers were going “harder” as they say it, then some of the newer dancers, but cleaning that and reaching sync will come with time and practice. The finisher was sick, I counted the jumps at the end, completely loved them. All the dancers looked wide on stage and the energy was high. It was an overall great performance, obviously everything can be cleaned more because nothing is perfect. I agree that I’m surprised this wasn’t a placing performance but no disrespect to the judges or the placing teams. If you guys keep dancing like this, FCB is going to have a good season. Looking forward to seeing more performances soon, Oh and thanks Harman <3 you’re the best.
