First off, I would like to congratulate the Buckeye Mela committee for yet again, blowing us away with their amazing organization and hospitality. It seems more and more apparent that competitions are not putting in the necessary effort to give teams and audiences the best possible experience. But Buckeye Mela is not one of those competitions. Hats off to you guys being amazing. I'll post a competition review shortly.

Shoutout to all the teams and congrats to the placing teams! The show was amazing to watch and the fusion teams were ridic.

Overall impression of this set was that this has been the cleanest I have seen FCB dance. Energy was there for the most part and entertainment factor was definitely there as all of your gimmicks hit with the crowd (Yes even the Michigan gimmick). I think the biggest issue with the set this time is that you can tell who were brand new to the team and those who have been dancing with y'all for a while. That will definitely change overtime when they dance more on stage. Also for those newer individuals their energy seemed to die towards the end in comparison to those experienced dancers. Very minor mess ups (Teal jodi fell in the back during khunde squat). Favorite segment was definitely y'all jhoomer. To me that stood out the most and hit hard. Going forward I want to see FCB come up with newer and hotter gimmicks. I have seen a lot of these gimimicks in the past so I challenge you guys to bring that next level gimmick which I'm sure y'all would be able to. Congrats on first again and forever Go Blue ;)

Great set in terms of set creation. I think the kato seg you guys do has become a staple of your routine. I like it but I can't help but feel like the choreo hasn't changed dramatically over the past year and it would be cool if you guys redid the segment and showcased some more creativity since you guys are very well known for that.

I think I agree with Howie when saying that your bottom two jodis (light blue and green) need some work on form and stamina. I think that you guys have done a great job training considering the dancer turnover that you have had over the past year, but even then you gotta make sure 1-12 can handle the complexity of the set.

Of all things to give critiques about, I didn't expect energy to be one but I thought that the energy at Mela just wasn't as explosive as it usually is. Maybe it is because I have grown accustomed to you guys coming out 150% every performance, but this time around I saw people getting tired toward the end and that is pretty much across the board (except Akash and his jodi). Definitely worth first place though. Great job getting the crowd involved and with song selection. Always fun seeing you guys at Mela!

Personally I though the set you guys brought was really clean and overall entertaining from start to finish. Over the years I have noticed some aspects of choreo and ideas that of course hit but are just tweaks when looking closely or comparing to previous performances. Like the Katos, Khunde Drop etc but never the less so well deserved!

Jhummer was fire and my favorite part of the set. One of those segments where you want to just watch it over and over again ;D Sid and Ram always killing it and making it look graceful and effortless!

I can see what the others are saying about the dancers being new and can see the difference between the experienced older dancers and the newer ones, but we all know thats never the ideal situation yet I still feel that the dancers pushed through and will do even better in time and reach that 150% energy level that everyone is used like Nimit said. Light blue guy falling and then getting right back up and recovered smoothly imo.

Blue Jodi and the Orange Jodi make me want to get up and dance. Too sick!

The whole video in the background during the ending we've seen before but I'm not a huge fan because it takes away from whats going on stage. Should I watch the jumps in the video or you jumping live? ;) Regardless I definitely felt the hype.

Great job at placing first at Buckeye Mela! Cannot wait for MCB and future comps to see the new sets you guys bring!

As always, an entertaining set and well worthy of 1st place! I'll write a few thoughts:

Positives:

1. One, while there definitely were new guys dancing in this set, there is no doubt that they held it down. Special shoutout to Chandra and Rishaan (and if I may point out, this was Rishaan's first performance EVER - really impressive performance as a freshman, can't wait to see your progress over the next few years).

2. Jhummar was fire as always. Ram, that kiss doe.

3. Mistake free - the past few performances have had some gimmicks that weren't executed properly. This one, unless I didn't watch closely, were spot on. Especially important because I know a few mess-ups in the past have played a result in placings

4. Cleanliness was more apparent - ESPECIALLY Khundey. This was the cleanest khundey performance in recent memory. Definitely more room for improvement, but I can definitely tell work was done here to make this segment cleaner.

5. Mix - enough said. Amazing as always.

Room for improvement:

1. Smiling - I think this was one major thing that stood out to me across old guys and new guys. There were many times in the set where smiles just dropped. At 1:28, the blue and black jodis faces were front and center and their smiles dropped even before they picked up the banner (still gotta smile guys!). Another notable time was before the khundey dropped (understandable as I think the drop was a bit delayed and you guys were a bit worried). Besides those two though, there were definitely moments where smiling just wasn't very apparent. On the bright side, this is something that can be fixed pretty easily.

2. Recycled ideas - This has been echoed from a few people. While I loved that khundey was cleaner, it just seemed all too familiar, especially with the khundeys dropping again. I had the same sentiment with katos as well, and there more times in the performance where it just felt too familiar. The ending hit for me the first time you guys did it, but it didn't hit for me this time around just because I've seen it a few times now. I challenge you guys to move away from the familiar things you've done over the past 1.5 years or so and continue to innovate. I know in your heads you may be thinking that it's different (trust me, I thought the same back on Cornell during the 2013-2014 season), but moving away from familiar things we had done in the past helped us innovate even further and put on even better performances.

Congrats again, and hope to see you guys around soon!

I am going to try not to repeat too many things that have already been said.

I think this performance was one of the cleanest since Burgh 2013. Except for teal jodi falling during khunde there were few mistakes. But like many people said, kato segment looked almost exactly the same, khunde also looked very similar to past sets. I understand there are certain hallmarks to your set, such as throwing in bollywood remixes (TBT to that time you guys did ramta jogi at bruin which was fire), as of late doing a crazy phumaniya variation etc, but I think you guys can reinvent certain segments-katos khunde
Dancer disparity was pretty evident this time. Sid and Ram-you guys killed it and the girl in teal-she did a great job as well. Stamina I think could have been improved in relation to the standard you guys have set for yourselves.
One thing I think not enough people have given you credit for is that you guys have evolved but still stayed true to your own style. You guys don't necessarily try to start going crazy fast for every segment (i.e. copy NJW)-which is something I see a lot of teams doing now that NJW is back in the circuit.

Most of the main points that came to mind were already stated above.

The set was definitely one of the cleanest I've seen from FCB.

With that being said, I would appreciate it if FCB would request the use of my remix "Zindabaad Yaariyan" before using it in their set.

Once again, congrats.

On a topic unrelated to this thread - congrats FCB hype ass set, jhummer was fire. Love and miss the whole PGH fam. This level of circuit domination should be illegal. Or taxed heavily. #FeelTheBern
