im pretty sure you change the amount it can move when youre on to the "piano roll"
-go to the piano roll
-click the grid looking icon on there
-from the drop down menu click on either 1/2 step 1/3 step 1/4 ......

hope that helped :)

lolll what i do is, i produce a beat and then change the tempo by playing a song from windows media player or w.e and then maatch it and mix it down, then i'll just add the original and the produced beat onto sony acid or w.e program you use and mix it on that. :D ;)

1) make sure your bpms are exactly matching
2) crop the song file to start at exactly half beat into the song so it can line up with the first beat in FL.. il add a file to explain what i mean... when you hear the dhol beat it sounds like its already started. I cut out the first half of the first beat so that FL studio can follow and have a matched BPM, if I didnt do that and the dhol beat started off the way it originally did.. i'd be off by half a beat throughout the whole song..

this means that you have to cancel out any intros in the songs, dholl rolls, talking or anything and get right to the part where you wana add in FL beats.. unless the intro or whatever is on BPM..

this is so hard to explain.. reading over what i wrote confused me even more :(

but it works.. take this dhol sample and add it to your FL directory.. change the FL studio bpm to 95 and add this dhol sample in.. itl stay on beat the whole time

Everybody has their own way of producing beats.

What i do is i route my program with acid so the program becomes acid's slave. i can control the program through acid.

Once you have your song perfectly beat mapped, you get the BPM. Set the master BPM to your song's BPM and the program's BPM will also change, like harman said, cut out all the rolls, intros and go straight to the down beat, if you don't want to do that, turn your snap on and start loop from where the down beat starts...and thats pretty much how i do my shit :D
