I've heard that the one dollar bill is soon going to be a one dollar coin... Is this true??

The money you see being thrown around at hall parties when we perform are all american one dollar bills. Back in the days it was strictly Canadian bills being thrown. The lowest canadian bill is 5 dollars... so we would really be making a lot of money before. If the american bill is turned into a coin, I would love it! back to the old days!

we've had that happen to use.

We were performing at an non indian wedding, and some told the guys that they are suppose to throw money. So during the performence there were actually loonies and toonies thrown at us. We saw them roll off the dance floor.

loonies are $1 coins and toonies are $2 coins, the one dollar bill thing is the worst, sum people come up and throw like 5-10 bills to make them selves look like they are throwing alot of money, and then when you count its all $1 bills lol

These rumors have been circulating for a while. The coin has merit (it lasts like 10x longer, easier identification for blind people), but it's just not gonna happen here. The US population is too used to bills in their wallet to convince them to lug around coins.

What I am surprised at is that with the Americans with Disabilities Act, we are one of the declining # of countries whose bills are all the SAME SIZE AND COLOR. Must be hell for blind people.

guys, has anyone read up on the AMERO? theres been some talk about it past couple of years, basically, due to china's dominance, a North American Union would be forced, combining Canada, USA, and Mexico, under one union, modeled after the Euro Union. Also, one currency would come into effect, the AMERO, much like europe's Euro.

The point is that... back in the days everyone in Canada was throwing 5 dollar bills cuz thats the smallest bill.

If the american 1 dollar bill is made into a coin it will go back to that and we'll be making more money again. It will eliminate the uncles that think their ballers throwing 5 1 dollar bills.
