Ummm....
Okay, they CLEARLY looked for idiots and showed only idiots in the video to make a point that they cannot make. When you survey the stupidest people in America, you cannot make a conclusion on ALL of America based on the answers of the stupidest people. The method of surveying is flawed because more intelligent people may be more likely to be at work at the time of survey while less intelligent people may be available to be found casually walking...
I am 90% sure that on the MAP, the countries were mislabeled. Sure, more intelligent people would KNOW where countries are despite mislabeling, but that's tricking the person. In addition, the questions were probably asked in a manner where they could fuck up. For example, ask a bunch of questions about the Cold War and then throw in a question about Star Wars and you may confuse it with the Star Wars Program. Sure, there were a bunch of stupid answers as well as stupid people in the video, but I don't think it was completely fair.
I'm sure there may be a question that you may not have gotten especially if you were randomly approached in the street while you were thinking about something else. (I didnt know what collateral damage exactly was, I do not feel stupid though). Plus, as people grow older, they tend to retain information that only directly applies to them. It's like saying a 4th grader could have answered the question about geometry that an older person got wrong. The 4th grader recently learned it and the older person probably has no use for it.
I'm not defending stupidity, just offering my thoughts as usual.
