so like 2 hours before the show, everybody is getting ready n practicing, there are dress rehearsals going on, cast call happened.. and the thought finally dawned on us that we needed dangs. we practiced with pool table sticks at a rich kid's house but we just realized we needed actual sticks !
so i think some kid quickly picked up some short shitty sticks from home depot or a hardware store, we didnt know what real dangs looked like. so everyones panicking, our school is calling us to come, people prolly started entering the auditorium .... meanwhile I'm taking an amazing dump, n BAM all of a sudden somebody's banging on the door yelling WE NEED TO PAINT THE STICKS
at that point we realized, we can't just use regular light birch brown wooden sticks with splinters popping out, we actually need to paint them so they can be visible with the lighting
So I come out, stick the sticks into the ground at a friend's backyard, we find some cheap red spray paint, n I'm spraying them in my underwear (didn't wanna get paint on my pants) like 45 mins before the show .... glad to say they dried and we made the show n used our meter stick length red spray painted wannabe dangs
performance sucked but good old highschool days !
