Here's my angle (1080p, f4.5, mix dubbed @50%): [Furteelay Shokeen] Motor City Bhangra 2013

Personally, I had this placing above NYPD. Dancers were off at points whether minor mistakes, execution differences or exaggerated nakhra, but the hype was consistent throughout and the energy level was set high. NYPD was less messy in execution, but the energy level was set much higher in this performance. You guys do have some good formations, but they do need to be varied more - you guys seem to like to go into the corner a lot in addition to the two lines. The nakhra was on point and dancers were fun to watch (genuine smiles, twinkles in eyes), but watch out for overdoing it to the point where it detracts from the cleanliness. I loved the "Hi Mom :) " gimmick and there were definitely segments that were very well choreographed to the mix, which was fire as well. Also, you guys should have kept the "disappearing saap" effect you guys had at the end of the saap segment in previous routines where the two in the middle pass off saaps - that was a quick but memorable gimmick that should have been kept. Personally, I thought the high energy ending should have given you the 3rd place trophy, but it seems that the little but multiple mistakes cost you a placing.

Looking forward to seeing you guys at WBBC.

First off, congratulations to all of the placing teams. Heard it was a well run comp and hopefully it gets only better next year. However I was more entertained by this than any other performances. I personally believe Furteelay should have placed third instead of Nypd. The beginning with sapps is slightly off, but after that it was uphill. Formations and choreography complimented each other well, and this is the most enjoyment I've seen on their faces compared to their previous performances. I didn't see that same enjoyment with nypd, it almost looked as if they danced just to get it over with, and they didn't bring the same umph that nypd always has had in the past. The ending segment was off the hook. Can't wait to see what you guys bring to WBBC!
