GBC/MR Tilli Head

Does anybody know where i can find a couple of GBC or MR tilli heads? i've messed with remo ambassadors and diplomats but theres nothing like the sound of an authentic indian head. Is there another brand i should be looking for other then those two?

dhol etc has aw and sons...same thing as gbc and mr just diff logo, but they only have sizes like 12 13 and I think 14

Aw and sons is not the same lol.... there is a very apparent difference in sound quality, i tried aw and sons but it sounded terrible

really ? it sounded the same when I had it lol and the gbc`s at kalakendar are literally just stuffed into a plastic bin...all scratched and shit

yeah for some reason every time i've delt with AW and Sons ive always had problems, i've tried them out twice already and both times they've tended to loose sound quality within using them for more then like 4 events... GBC and MR, i've always had good experiences with... other then the fact that i ripped the ones that i had -_-... and aren't the ones at kalakender knock offs?

I have gotten AW and Sons and they have been great. The only thing I have noticed is that one needs to double rim and not tighten it too much so that it can last you for a long time. I got AW and Sons a couple years ago and I have not changed them since. I do agree that Remo's and diplomats are ripoffs.

Really? cause i double rim all my heads no matter what the make and it still didn't do much for me??? but yeah definitely looking for GBC or MR heads

I honestly don`t know if they are but fuck it...I had one of their 7mm skins on my first dhol which I sold nearly 2 years ago...dude who has the drum now still has the same skin on it and it sounds really sick
