I need help with getting my team's name out. The team is relatively new and of the two competitions we competed in, we placed 1st and 2nd. But they both were small competitions. We are having trouble getting into decent competitions. What can we do? Btw, the teams name is Dhamak Punjab Di

Well I can tell you a few thing you don't want to do: 1) Spam BTF 2) Self pump

With one you'll meet the ban hammer and with the other you'll get humiliated (both in-person and online).

Good luck,

Basim :)

P.S. - Performing at larger events (so people start to know who you are), posting up your videos for us to see your progress, and trying to get into major competitions in the bhangra circuit will help you immensely gain that beloved "popularity."

I think in this instance Dhamak Punjab Di is doing a fine job getting its name out. You've gone to a few competitions as you said, and as I recall you posted your youtube video on BTF for critique. I think that's the best you can do for now. Continue to apply to competitions and you'll be in good shape. Am I missing something? I thought you guys are doing fine as a new team.

are you sure you want to jump right in with the big boys? don't you want to slowly build?

get a good video of your dance and make sure the dance is on point. When you are a new team, comps have nothing to go off but your video...make sure what ever you are submitting is fire. Also it helps to know people in the circuit...start networking

most of these guys have danced at some of these big competitions with RU bhangra and other teams so they aren't interested in slowly building up...and we are trying to find a competition (either as a competition or exhibition team) to make a killer video...do u guys think a good practice video is fine?
