I was buying some chappals once, so I thought I was getting Reebok's until I looked up close and I was like "Hey! This says Reebak!!" and the guys like "I never said they were Reebok, you did!"

There was an article in the times last year about how India copies brands from the West....like Pink Berry in India is called "Coco Berry" and Timberland shoes are the inspiration for "Woodlands" shoes...

I saw a guy once wearing what appeared to be a pair of white nikes. When I looked a little closer the back of the shoe read "Puffs Air" with a crooked nike swoosh. Or I've seen Adidas with five stripes. My chachi once gave me a gold chain with a pendant that read "GILL" with a swoosh underneath it. Classic.
