Going from Jailbroken 3.0 iPhone to Jailbroken 3.1.2 iPhone?

Has anyone succesfully upgraded from a jailbroken iPhone 3.0 using purplera1n to 3.1.2 using blackra1n. Haven't tried it yet, just want to see if anyone has, and had any issues (battery levels draining faster, ability to keep jailbroken apps). Thanks

sorry bro not sure about your specific situation, i read a lot of stuff before doing it, as far as i can tell blackra1n wouldn't work for you, for me however having bought a brand new 3gs already loaded with 3.1 blackra1n worked fine i just updated to 3.1.2 and ran it done in a minute flat!

sorry this is off topic from vivek's question but dude, I did it for my itouch (i thought it was just for iphones). It was the easiest thing to do. it took two sec. Im love the MXtube app that downloads youtube vids straight to my itouch. Also, is anybody using anything other than Cydia? its slow as hell.

i upgraded to 3.1.2 and than jailbroke it with blackra1n work perfrectly fine

itouch. Also, is anybody using anything other than Cydia? its slow as hell.

I have cydia, but the only one I use is called Installous. it has literally any app it seems, more so than cydia..i dont really kno any other details on how to get it/install it on a touch, i had my buddy jailbreak it and do all that jazz cuz he used to work at an apple store lol
