G'Day guys,

Here's the performance y'all been asking for. Bhangra All Stars Sydney @ Bruin Bhangra XVIII 2016

We placed THIRD at Bruin this year and the experience the boys had on stage is definitely one to remember. Congrats to Da Real Punjabiz for taking out FIRST and to First Class Bhangra for winning SECOND, along with Empire for tying at THIRD respectively. Also another congratulations to all the other participating teams as well, this was definitely one of the most stacked lineups ever and every team brought it this year.

We want to thank everyone that came out to support us on the night and throughout our journey. To our family, friends and partners: thank you for your undying support and encouragement over what was meant to be a stressful weekend. You guys kept us in check, calm and relaxed. Thank you!

Special thanks to our brothers from the 6ix: Harry Kainth and Palwinder Palli Singh. Harry, thank you for travelling so far to not only learn our set, but for absolutely destroying it on stage. We have learned so much from you and hope you enjoyed your stay here as much as we loved having you.
Palli thank you for tying the 16 most crispy paggan of the comp and for your support side-stage, as well as over the weekend. Despite only just meeting you, you're an instant brother to all of us. Can't wait till we meet you lads again!

MASSIVE shout out to the following DJs for helping make a such a fire mix:

⁃ Aka$h: You my friend are such a genius. Always deliver the most fire mixes and are a pleasure to work with. Despite how much we may annoy you, we are forever thankful for the hard work, effort and love you put into our music. Thank you ❤

⁃ MKG: dopest intro, dopest end. Always deliver and adjust yourself even though we keep making changes. Thank you for your patience and perseverance. You seriously do not know how good you are fam. Can't wait to rip it up again.

Many thanks as well to the following DJs for concepts, compiling, effects, practice mixes and everything in between.

⁃ DJ HSK
⁃ AGSMAVI
⁃ chaMak
⁃ Gobind GSK Khangura

Another shout-out to Tahir Shams. Amazing cinematography for the intro, Jagga Jatt and the entire video. Limitless talent.

On a side note, we apologise for the poor lighting and sound on the night. The lighting crew unfortunately got ALL of our lighting queues late despite it fixed in tech time. Sound was also an issue, as many team's mixes were played low on the night and our dholi's hardwiring was not turned on. These were guaranteed to be fixed for the performance, but no matter. Hopefully it does not deter from the performance and you guys still enjoy it :)

Our full feedback of the entire event and weekend will be coming soon.

Hope you ENJOY ;D

BASS!!

I told you guys right after the performance, but I was floored. So happy I got to watch you guys live.

I hate to be someone that only says "you guys have improved so much!" Cause while improvement is great, it's a comparison to your past. I like to be judged on what was done that day. And what you did at Bruin was excellent. Clean dancing, great chorography, and my favorite thing about you guys:

There is an undeniable team chemistry you guys have. Teams def build chemistry and become closer through long trips (and you guys in the past year have traveled farther than anyone else I believe). One of the biggest aspects of your dancing that I appreciate, is that you guys have a LOVE for Bhangra and most importantly, for each other. We saw (and heard it lol) while you guys were jammin out waiting for your tech time to happen. You guys jamming out made me smile. And so did your dancing.

Idk if I'll have the pleasure of watching you gents live again, but it'll be something I always remember.

You guys did a great job with this performance and I agree with just about everything Sid said. You guys have improved tremendously since the first performance I have seen and the complexity of certain segments with regards to set design was nice-I see some Toronto influence and you guys pull it off well
For the sake of critiques here are some things that can make you guys even better
-Form while moving in formation is compromised. Double bounce is lost in dhamaal and execution in my opinion og knee and angle ankles can get lost.
-Chaadars looked a little off-some looked high and some others showed a very solid amount of leg.
-I think if you guys kept your chest out and backs a bit more straight your jugni could hit much harder.
-Loved the mix, the naachre-but energy started to really wane towards the end of the set.
-You guys had memorable formations in the beginning of your set and at the end of your set-but there were entire segments where the formation work wasn't too memorable or additive to the performance.
Anyways, you guys had a great performance, can't wait to see ya guys perform again

You guys have gotten better over time and have continued to improve with every competition. In terms of improvements I would say that you guys need to watch your formations in certain segments when lines of individuals are moving across stage you all have to be right behind each other or keep the shape of the formation. The other thing to be wary of is the competition which you are dancing at. For me I feel like the set that you guys brought was great, but to win Bruin you need a next level of entertainment and gimmicks that can draw a great crowd reaction. The Jagga Jatt gimmick hit, but for me the I love LA gimmick was not the greatest. Just some of my thoughts watching these videos. Also from Harbor City to Bruin there was a significant level of improvement especially with form and energy overall from the dancers. Love to see y'all in the US more often even though it could get expensive with the flights and all.

Thanks for the feedback everybody. Appreciate you guys (Sid, Eric, Sonny and Howie) for taking the time out to write it. Glad you guys liked the performance.

Small update - Low Level Crowd angle in 1080p 60fps has properly processed and is linked at the bottom of the initial post. Enjoy the smooth 60fps along with the 4K 8)
