As I'm sure some of you are aware, GTV came abroad to Australia to help gain exposure to the Australian bhangra scene. I was part of the team that fortunately got to perform and placed SECOND at this competition!


Although the scene in Australia isn't as big as it is in US, Canada and UK, we are trying to maintain that culture and bring a diverse style of bhangra to the global bhangra community ;D


For the most of us here in Australia, we have been looking up to teams all over the world that have inspired us and kept our passion for bhangra alive for all these years and finally were able to get the exposure we were looking for. These videos were taken by our friends and the full GTV video will be uploaded soon!


So, it is my pleasure to welcome - Australia's contribution to the global bhangra community ;D ;D

Wow I must say I wasn't expecting a performance of this quality. Wonderful formations, nahkra and good set+mix. That "chava chava" thing was really good (lol that guy can certainly do giddha haha). Top lights gimmick as well, didn't feel forced.


There were minute little errors, but only if u grilled a single person for the entire video. Overall it's a top notch performance, and u guys look like a well oiled machine. Could definitely hold your own against North American teams. I haven't heard much about the Australian bhangra scene, but if this performance is anything to go by, the future of Australian bhangra looks very bright!
