Heat Molding Skates

I just got a new pair of Nike Bauer Supremes after having my good old magnum 55's and the break-in of those skates is killing my feet. I was looking to get them heat molded which will make it easier to break in. Does anyone know of a place that will do it (preferably a chain store in canada) and how much it would cost ?

lol you probably got your answer already, sport chek will do it...even if you didnt buy them there they shouldnt charge...i used to work at sport chek in the hard goods dept (hockey, bikes, etc.) and if a customer came in with skates and asked for them to be molded we just threw them into the oven no problem...and im pretty sure there is no UPC (barcode) for "heat molding" so cashiers cant even ring u thru for molding skates...lol and just a note..when u lace em up after they come out of the oven...DONT pull up to tighten cuz there's a chance from the heat you can rip the eyelits right out lol, ive seen it happen :S...tighten the laces by pulling out to the side

this might sound really strange to do, but when i was growing up (and even know) i used to put skiing socks in water and then in the microwave. id then put the socks on and slip into the boot. tie the laces as tight as possible and then use velcro straps to tighten the fit all the way around the boot. id keep doing this untill it felt perfect on my feet. i also used to wear a pair of long socks (opposed to bare foot) when playing, so having that accounted for when molding my skates made them fit perfect
