How did phumanian develop?

thanks turbo, if that is true about the combination of two moves, it basically clears up my main confusion about how such a move developed.

Now, if i remember correctly, the learn how to dance bhangra in 7 days video shows phumanian as the "light blub" one(tho i hate to call it that but i will for clarity). Now I wonder how the 16 step one came to be called phumanian as well. Can anyone figure that out?

Turbo is right about phumanian. It's two eight step sequences put together from different regions. To my understanding it was created to show off your phumans. The light bulb phumanian is a generic term for that move because it is also meant to show off your phumans, but the traditional sequence is the 16 step [two 8 steps].

guys, are you sure the 2nd version is also phumania? It seems like we are all assuming it is just because of the same spin at the end of the sequence...i would venture to say that there is only 1 phumania as we know it, and the move is just something else...phumania is a set 16 beat move...the light bulb is more of a transition...i think the fact that teams do it on the phumania beat is just a mistake, not them being authentic...

faizan bro, the second phumanian is definately just another version of phumanian. Not just because of the spin. I have also heard the first version of phumanian called thinthara just as manjot stated earlier.
