10 can be tough sometimes with formations, I would say 8 or 12.

If you are a Live team, 8 is the obvious choice...if not, think about 12! Anything more than that is too much.

12 is usually a good number. There are a lot of possible formations and you'll look good on stage

Rather 10 is a blessing in my opinion. When every team in the circuit is either 8 or 12 man, the basic formations and even the cooler formations get done. It's easier to be unique and more creative with 10 man. You may not be able to do the cool mechanisms and effects that 8 man/12 man teams - but why look at what you can do similarly to other teams when you can concentrate on standing out?

My dream team? 7.5 dancers bhangra team. (0.5 = midget) No one could copy my formations! lol :)

12 should be the limit. how long have you guys been doing bhangra for? 12 - if you guys get everything down and know what you guys are doing in the bhangra or else the bhangras gonna look really messy with 12 people and off beat or not knowing what they're doing. i'll have to say start off with 8 and if you guys want increase up to 12. hope all gos well with the new team :)

Its your choice, but keep in mind that the more people in your team, the more chances of keeping the routine clean, i think 8 is good, but if you really want more, keep it till 12.

If you have 12 strong dancers I would go with 10, because a lot of times you'll find that someone wont be available, and you'll need those alternates. And when you're looking for someone to fill a spot you'll want a strong dancer.
