whats a good diet for it? Like realistically cause some of the diets you guys talk bout ain't happening on my end for a couple of reasons: (not cause I dont want to I simply cant)
1. I dorm in college and the food there is all unhealthy..pizza, fries, crappy salads fatty chicken etc.
2. When I'm home, my only cooks indian food and nothing else, expect for the occasional pasta lol.

.........so how can I best improvise. Any suggestions?

Well, if your goal is to put on mass with a 5x5 program, then you are pretty much able to eat anything you want, especially in the initial phases where your body adapts like crazy.

You can eat the unhealthy food at dorm, just don't pig out which is easier said than done I know, same with the desi food, just make sure your portions are not too big.

Well like I really don't need anymore mass, I've been going to the gym on a consist basis and I like my weight which is around 165 now. I want to keep it at that and just get more physically stronger without adding the size. I just wanna get stronger and build endurance along with decreasing my body fat

I think you will be fine. Best way is to experiment with how much food you need every day to have enough energy and preform well in gym and not be too tired after. It is a little different for everyone that is why there is no set guidelines, don't worry about how unhealthy the food is at the dorms. Eat what you like and just keep it moderation and you won't put on any substantial amount of fat.

what about "snacks" in between meals and throughout the day... actually, i'm more curious as to what you guys eat later on in the day say between 7-10, if the hunger alarm goes off.

I usually work out at different times each day, however i realize that if i work out mid day/morning, then i end up wanting to eat more during the evening and on days i work out in the evenings, i pretty much crash the moment i get home after throwing in some whey protein

What are healthy snacks which will fill me up fast... fiber, say cereal.. is it okay to snack on in the evening? (or night lmao)
Doing some research, i ended up noticing that a lot of body builders recommend splenda and cottage cheese..? What about fruits?

I pretty much screw myself over with diet! My workouts are demanding and i end up eating like crap (similar scenario as 'singh5327') and am disappointed, so any recommendations!?

lol dude I do the same thing..I have this alarm in my body that no matter whenever I have dinner @ like 11 o clock I need to eat something and I usually grab some milk and cookies haha. But recently, I bought these fiber bars and some good ole fig newtons nd chewy's. They're a lot better to munch on then milk and cookies in my opinion haha. Cereal is also good but if I eat that then I wake u to having none lol.

I actually had quite the opposite experience in college. YES there was horrible and fatty food(SOOOO GOOD) but at the same time, there was a huge amt of healthy food. I stuck to the good, healthy stuff.
for snacks you guys can look up homemade protein bar recipies and use those as snacks. Try using a protein shake as a snack or a glass of 1% or skim milk with some protein or peanut butter.
Cottage cheese is a legit source of protein.
A good fiber cereal is Fiber One. Throw some yogurt or fruit in there and it becomes a legit meal. Fruits and veggies should be plentiful in your diet.

For snacks you cant go wrong with fruits, cheeses and peanuts. Peanuts are underrated, great source of protein and good fats.

Compton did you study this is school?
I did my bachelors in Biomedical engineering so I took a lot of biomechanics and physio classes so I got a good insight into how strength and muscle building works. That is why I am really against machines, and body building workouts because I realize that those kind of things are a detriment and impractical.

Diet and everything else is just trial and error from past experience and lots of talking to random strength coaches at gyms. I still have lot more to learn, but best way to learn is to get under the bar which hopefully I can get back to soon.

yo sunny check the link i posted in this thread like a page or two back, if u really wanna bulk.
I saw that vik, it looks good, but im not really looking for size. I just want to decrease my body fat % and get a lil more toned and ripped, without having to really increase my mass all that much.
