How to chop in Sony Acid

When I say chop I mean like taking a clip, for example "chakdey", and chopping it up to sound like ch-ch-ch-chakdey. The only way I do this is to actually take the "ch" part of the clip and paint it over a few times so that it plays a bunch of times in a row and then leads into the full clip. Im pretty sure theres a better way to do it. Anyone?

I do not know how to do this on acid, but what I do is get the sample.. load it on fruity loops and it will accurately chop up the sound @ whatever bpm you want it to chop at.. or you could do it manually by chopping/slicing up the waveform on a program like acid

2 things:
1) don't use paint tool, it's obnoxious and slow
2) harman is right. zoom in to the wave form and cut out the cha part (select where you want the clip to be split and hit the 's' key to split it). Then copy the cha clip, delete the other part, and paste it 5 more times so you have 'cha cha cha cha cha'. Then extend the last one so you have 'cha cha cha cha chakdeeee'. Move them around to get them to the timing you want

If you do your project properly, then it's already beatmapped so you can enable 'snapping' and just automatically snap them to every 8th beat or so making your life even easier

Thanks for your help guys, seems like there's pretty much no solution but to do what I was already doing.
