Wassup guys.. I just got in a set of some tillis from india but they're toooo thick. I remember a while ago i heard from someone that you can sand them down a bit with sandpaper to make them thinner, but I dont remember exactly. Anyone know how to make the tillis thinner and more flexible?

Playing with a thick tilli with a bit of flex is good. It will give you a stronger strike plus will increase your stamina. But if you want to make it thinner you don't sand it. take a blade and shave it down. you will shave the part that is rough not smooth.

Yup, I use sandpaper as well if I ever need to thin out a tilli or make one of my daggas a bit lighter.

I sand my tillis and dhagas with a 60 grit sandpaper and then a 100 grit... Makesure you don't sand it down too much to the point where its too flimsy.
