How to set chunni for a bhangra performance?

Hey! This is mostly directed to all the lady bhangra dancers haha, but if you're a guy who knows how to set a chunni, keep reading! :) So I'm doing a bhangra performance with 3 other girls and we have no idea how to set our chunnis. They are pretty standard sized chunis and it has an inch thick border. I want my jacket to be visible and i want the chuni out of my way so i can dance freely but i still want it to look cute at the same time. Can anybody make me a tutorial please? Thank you. :)

P.S. It'd be nice if you could show different ways to set it. That would be much appreciated! :)

Quick question, is it disrespectful if girls don't wear the chunni? Even if the hair is braided and not flailing out ?

Would judges take points off for something like that?

I'm not sure if it would be considered disrespectful, but i imagine not wearing a chunni would be equivalent to a guy not wearing a pagh, and yeah judges will take points off. It's apart of the overall costume. It's the easiest part of the fit anyway. If you're going to wear them, make sure they're on your head too. I don't know about anyone else, but its a personal pet peeve of mine to see girls wearing chunniyan incorrectly, lol. If its a gig or something, i don't think it matters. If you have the time to put it on at a gig, you should. Give the people what they're paying for.
